As much as I love bright colors, I'm creating a dutch pour today with neutrals! Recipe used and color details are listed below, but first:

Today's recipe was 5 parts Floetrol, 3 parts paint and 3 parts water. I don't know why I thinned it so much...would have been better with 5:3:2, as I usually do. It moved quite a bit as it started to dry.
Colors used: Artist's Loft White, Black and Metallic Black, Blickcrylic White, Prizm Pour's True Silver, Art Mind's Champagne and Modern Master's Oyster.

You always get the most interesting shapes when you do a Dutch pour. I tend to blow everything out and what I need to do is step back and look at the shapes before I do. I told my husband that its funny how many interests we have in common. I adore scrollwork and recently been studying rosemaling...I'm sure I spelled that wrong😏. I love your folk art work and your roses...there are so many ways to paint a rose. I know you studied David J roses because I've seen your fabulous painting of his style. But I have to say your irises over your Dutch pour are so gorgeous...So fresh and spring like, like you said. I'm going to have to put that on my list to watch again and try my hand with the irises. I love you esthetic Chris! It was fun to see all your different kinds of creations. You can tell that you have been studying and creating all different kinds of art because all your art is so interesting and lovely...I love your versatility! I always look forward to watching you.😊🖤🌟🖤🌟🖤

I'm ga ga-ing here watching this one my dear! This is so freaking cool! It's elegant, sophisticated, soft, but "present" at the same time. You said you rather like it, well I rather love it. You've inspired me. Have a woman coming over Thursday that I met in a live chat on another channel, and through code, we figured out we lived about 10 miles from each other! Lovely artwork. My question is concerning the picture that you used to paint the “shopping” painting. Do you have to be concerned about copyright laws when you do a painting like that? I am very new to all of this and any advice is appreciated. All of your artwork is very pretty. Thank you.

Thank you for asking...that's a very important question. I belong to a couple of FB groups that offer free reference photos for artists, as well as a paid subscription to a website that provides copyright free photos. Even though it's not a requirement I try to always give credit to the photographer on the back of the drawing. I stay away from Pixabay because I'm just not convinced all the photos there are truly copyright free. 😉
