274 Willow Park Fishery. 1st Fishing Of 2023

Its the 1st of January and I'm out on the banks of willow park fishery for my 1st session of 2023. I've been joined by Simon and mark and im doing a 3 night session.

Nice way to start 2023. You didn't blank! I find sometimes you got to bait the swim a day or two before the swim or it can be slow.. I enjoyed the video.

Brilliant blog yet again although you’ve not been on for a bit I wish I could get out more I’ve just be diagnosed with cardio vascular disease and struggling for transport due to medication I’m now on And can’t drive next trip trying to arrange is to limbrook next month if water levels have dropped looking forward to seeing you this season and the whales you get

if ur getting line twist, take ur rig etc off, fill a pva bag with sun small stones, and tie it to end of ur line, and cast out, let pva melt, then wind in with tension on the line, that should resolve it

It didn't!! While there Simon walked out about 100m of bare line for me and it was still doing it

Have you tried one of those Spin Doctor leads Chris? Never used them myself but suppose to be really good at straightening the line and getting twists out. Failing that i would do as you said and just get the reels re spooled. Another great video btw Chris and brilliant fishing in those difficult cold wintery conditions capped off with that scaly banger 👏👏👏

I get terrible line twist using the bait boat I know you didn't use it this time but from previous trips, a few casts with a Gardner twist buster usually cures it

I use to use the fox impact spomb and if it didnt open in the drink then it opened above my head lol I won the wolf spomb in a comp and its brilliant

@@MrCarpking71 I’ve been back out mate but I’m in Prince Albert Angling Society now and they don’t allow recordings on their venues… hoping to get to a day ticket water soon 👍🏼
