Жыл бұрынWe are cutting white fir studs to match the size and dimension of the lumber at the local big box stores. As I said while filming, I only use water for lube and never get pitch buildup, just use more water than usual.

You will probably find that your lumber will be slightly undersize once it dries out. When I had my mill, which was a Mobile Dimension Saw, I would cut dressed sized 2x4s I would cut them to 1 9/16" x 3 9/16". Once dry it would end up closer to 1.5x3.5

You are absolutely right. This wood is going to used to build my woodshed before it is dry ,so it wont matter , but I appreciate your advice so others can benefit from your experience

@@frankiesixsaws I used to do a lot of custom sawmilling for customers who had their own timber. I always told them that if the lumber is cut to a dressed size it will match up with any lumber they have to buy if they are short of certain sizes.
