Will, great tips/reminders as always. In terms of saving MIDI clips, I found a better way. Just drag the clip itself to any place in the Live Browser on the left. Not only is the MIDI information saved, but the actual instrument and chain you used too, with the file extension ALC. Later, you can click on that clip and can immediately preview the phrase with the original instrument/chain, rather than having to load or drag a "deaf" clip onto a track to hear its contents. As a bonus, I find this is the best way to save my favorite patches/presets of plug ins, because you can audition a decent phrase in the preview that showcases the character of the instrument. If you like it, you drag the clip onto a blank track, and the instrument chain and a good example are right there.

I, for one, use ableton, and I’ve seen myself how amazingly the DAW inspires creativity and has a great workflow, and this aligns with the fact of how it is the most used DAW at the top level - it is at this level for a reason of course!
