Hi Everyone,
I have been using the LG 29UM69G, a 29 inch ultrawide monitor for 8 months now. This video is going to be about my experience with this monitor. In my last video I have elaborated on how and why I decided to go for an Ultrawide. I believe, that video will help potential 'monitor' buyers, pick the right one for their needs. Hey I really like your video super informative. Like you I'm not a huge gamer but I do from time to time mostly work related stuff I'll be using that monitor for. I recently purchased a smart monitor from Samsung it's cool but I always had that ultra-wide in the back of my mind and after watching your video I'm swapping it out, so thanks again for your vid.

Very nice review of the monitor. I wish i had some clue before i bought a wide screen last year. It is too bright even with the minimum brightness and i get headache when i use it. I havent tried looking at its manual for any options. It is not an LG monitor but your video gives some idea on what options i could probably check for and optimise. Thank you :)

Dear bro.. well done.. liked & supported👍. Assuming you've used both 29" 21:9 & 27" 16:9 screens. Does the 29" widescreen gives off a larger FEEL to it than the standard 27" while tasking and consuming media, although it's got less vertical working space and the difference in surface areas are negligible? Can you please share your experience?

its good for multi tasking. I have not tried much of the gaming but yes sometimes if possible I have worked keeping 3 separate applications open on this monitor using on screen/wout onscreen as well.

I got this to replace my 32 inch 16:9 monitor after it died. This 29 inch is roughly the same width as the 32 inch but its a few inches shorter. Also, a lot of movies have a 2.39:1 aspect ratio which gives you black bars at the top and bottom of a 16:9 screen, but with this monitor it fills the entire screen perfectly.

LG has 3 wide screen models 29" - 29UM69G, 29WN600 and 29WL50S. Not able to understand the difference between these. price is also almost same. Any reason why you got this one?

Hi Shanmukh G... there are few differences among these, like HDR 10 certification, in built speaker wattage, screen refresh rate which is higher in this one, and response time, which is better in this one... I particularly bought this for the refresh rate and speaker output being higher... also the others were pricier the time I was shortlisting them.

The only complaint i have about this monitor is the awful Black piano plastic, i once owned a LG monitor that had the same material,i can confirm it's Dust proof but is nothing compared being finger print and scratches magnet.

Not with the stand it comes with. I'm sure you can get a different stand or mount that will let you do that though.

Need one help buddy, i am also having same monitor but the newly launched fire tv stick 3rd generation is not working screen goes black after amazon logo, seems it due to unsupported resolution, as my jio fiber settop box, mi tv box is working perfectly fine with black borders at both side, but fire tv stick is not working at all, did you or anybody in the discussion tried fire tv stick with this monitor and able to get it worked?

@@Harshavardhan492549 as per my experience neither fire tv stick 3rd gen nor firetv stick 4k max working with this monitor, i recently bought firetv stick 4k max, and that is not due to resolution, that is due to hdcp encryption which all firetv stick uses and decryption is not supported by this monitor, i suggest go for any newer monitor with Normal resolution if you wanted it for media consumption via firetv stick

Hi Vikas. The keyboard shown here is the Logitech MK235. Will not recommend it though. Keys are noisy, flat keys and not a great feedback. Mouse is also flat and not good... Hi Nikhil, yes you can. connecting the Firestick it in the HDMI port should be fine. But beware of the aspect ratio. You will end up seeing Black bars on the sides in most of the TV shows. Movies should be fine though.

Hi Nikki, the Firestick will work without need for any CPU. But Firestick does not support 21:9 aspect ratio, and you will not have a good video watching experience. These are my observations post some research. Will update if I could borrow a Firestick from neighbors...

I just borrowed a Firestick, it shows stretched menu set up in this aspect ratio. I could not find if Mi stick would be better...
