I was a Jezebel...I am born-again and being sanctified, so I am experiencing the Lord leading me into discipline and submission. At times it's gut wrenching, trying to take what I learned as a defense mechanism ( my protection) and throwing it out the window. I struggle with pride as well, and it is amazing what the Lord will reveal to you in terms of pride. I find myself still trying to fix my life/ my charachter defects as they are made known to me ( yep, pride shadows all of that), That's the gut wrenching part. Learning how to simply say, "God, I know you are revealing this to me, but I don't know what to do or how to fix it, please have mercy on me and help me." This is when my Father wraps his arms around me gives me the grace I need to live more righteously. The burden to be stronger is lifted, and in my weakness I am blessed. When you realize just how wicked you are, that's when Jesus can do His holy work in you.

Jezebel can also be passed down from parents. Thank you Jesus for deliverance!!!!!

I've dealt with both sexes of Jezebels. Narcissistic actions coincide closely to Jezebel Spirits. It's a living nightmare dealing with these types of people. They will destroy and seek revenge and eat you alive if they know you fear them. Do whatever it takes to say NO!!

Living alone together. My wife and I sleep in seperate rooms and I am not allowed in her room without her permission. For now I don't mind sleeping in seperate rooms as I commune with God best at night so I can pray in my own room but I know the day to confront her demons in the name of Jesus is fast approaching and God has told me my prayers for my wife's deliverance have been heard and God will answer them all in time. We are both over 60 years old with no kids between us just my wife's daughter who lives overseas. Please pray for the three of us that God's will for us will fully come to pass. Jesus is Victor.

My godly husband saw through my defenses and loved me and directed me, as I was abused, no surprise. My survival mode needed to be disabled. Real men with bibles! Thank GOD!

I spent 26 years in self defense mode and probably learned some bad stuff. I have some praying to do. But this sure explains a lot of things.

This is such a powerful sermon! As a single woman I have watched other women use their very strong sexual presence to snare men, and completely take over their life. People I considered friends until watching the manipulation. Personally I hear myself in the control or not letting my guard down because I have been hurt in the past. Working on that! Its in both men and women. No matter whats been done to me, I seek God's help so that the trauma does not work through me. I pray for servant leadership. Leaders that lead in humility so that others like me can grow and not be discouraged in their faith. One way to stop the Jezebel is to treat your daughters with great care and respect. To teach your sons to honor them. Women need to know they are cherished if they are cherished and safe so they can become the wives God calls them to be. This series so far has been so eye opening. Something I prayed about tonight regarding myself, and I'll put it out there in case it helps someone else, I have Ahab tendencies and Jezebel moments. It's interesting. When it comes to responsibility and duty, meaning there are things that need to be done that should be done, I'm an Ahab. But when I'm not in a position I want to be in, I'm a Jezebel. It used to be that I wanted to be in control, be my own boss, be a leader, all of that, and I was a Jezebel to get it (overpowering, domineering even), and when I got it, I became an Ahab, doing just what's necessary to stay there, but not actually be responsible and build up the thing I wanted when I got it. And it started when I was a kid. I used to get picked on and jumped and beat up, and being the only boy with 3 sisters, I was always told, "you don't know your own strength," "you have to be patient," "don't fight," and all of that combined over the years to be being a very passive person, and what would happen is, when I had enough, I'd snap and the Jezebel would come out. Absolute terrifying rage. People were scared of me and I loved it. I'm several years removed from the worst of me, a decade or more since the Lord started working on me and changing me, and I've been living the life of discipleship for almost 5 years now, (since I turned 40; I'm 45 now), but even that far removed from it, I recognize that I still have faint tendencies of both. And depending on where I a, what the situation is, or the environment, one or the other tendency will become dominant. I recognized that through this series so far and the thing I'm praying for an working on now is that the Lord remove from me those tendencies and build me back up to be more like Elijah, like Jesus Christ. And now I'm working on being more mindful of that and working to adjust by mindset and my behavior moving forward.

This is such a hot point with me. I have endured so many jezebels, one actually being a couple of husbands. My poor brother is an Ahab. He is a hard-working 83-yo. He has absolutely sacrificed himself to make his wives happy, to little avail. The most recent wife has twelve chihuahuas who sleep with her. Her day is consumed with caring for the dogs and surfing the web. A son-in-law who does absolutely nothing lives with them. My brother does all the housework, shopping, finances, cooking and yard work. He even has a part-time job. Oddly enough, he’s the oldest by at least ten years and yet is the healthiest. But I can see him getting so tired and discontent. He’s getting tired of it.

Bottom of my heart that finally returned to Christ after almost growing hard hearted. One step one way the other step to hell and wanting to be cut off from people. To finally asking Christ into my life again, asking to be forgiven June 1st as battled Lyme’s disease on top of my stage 3 reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Listening to the only two anchors I had left of faith in Christ The Visitation by Frank Peretti and the Left Behind series. In the middle of this battle being lead to Isaiah chapter 7 saying to ask for a sign. I did, on June 26th it happened and it’s detailed part of the testimony to come. It was on this day I came home after being attacked deeply by this spirit as I’ve come to learn. I was lead to corinthians chapter 13 and I understood it fully. It was time to put away childish things. Not ashamed that at 44 years old asked the Lord to fill me with the Holy Spirit. I felt the warmth and comfort didn’t know a person could feel on earth. There is a peace that’s so true, beyond all undeniable understanding. Suddenly the Bible made sense. I was talking with God. I can hear Him through the Holy Spirit gift. Then so much changed for the best, but it’s true. The old self must die and be born again. My girlfriend didn’t like how I was talking now. First about the Bible and about sin. Then when I said I wasn’t going to have sex anymore till married, it showed me what a fool I’ve been. By the June 30th the relationship was over after nine years. Because of sex. It was the only thing that she cared about. My love, friendship, and so much time spent on listening to her. Nothing but ashes. I went from a man in pain wanting death because I was tired of fighting this world. To being filled and reminded He called me back at age 19 to serve Him. A call on my heart for those in the dark at night. Alone, in pain, suffering, addicted, lonely, and need to know there is a plan for them. Always has been a plan for them. When I’ve looked back at wasted years, He speaks to me and tells me this was always the plan. To share all I’ve gone through and follow Him where I’m lead. His first week as I studied started a new set of personal rules I need to work on. 1. No more sexual immorality 2. No more lies, always the truth 3. No more hypocrisy 4 Discipline 5 Responsibility He’s lead me to be a hunter for Him. For those lost and in the dark as I had been for so long. Shown that I need the Word. It has gear, weapons, and armor that His calling requires in the world. Since then I’ve learn of the spirit of Jezebel. It’s been never in me thanks to praying parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and spiritual mentors that always spoke about what I would do for the Lord. How I would laugh and think they were crazy. Here I am, time in the desert is over. This spirit of Jezebel, used my now ex girlfriend to try and attack me again and again. Unlike her, this wasn’t my first time ending a relationship. So the passive aggressive comments weren’t impressive. When I stopped talking with her as lead by the God, the more angry she was getting. Till yesterday on her final attack, because before I’d asked the Lord to speak through me to her during the break up days. This was me speaking and in truth how I was treated. It didn’t matter, every time she’d bring it back to sex. Every few comments were about sex. Going to be honest, I’m reading other books. Rereading Boundaries by Townsend and Cloud and a book about emotional and verbal abuse. Didn’t know how bad it was till I’ve been out and the Lord is so good! How I am blessed to be in pain because it brought me to my knees to beg to die or be used for a purpose. From Psalm 38 begging for mercy and saying I felt the weight on my shoulders. To Psalm 40 where the Lord smashed everything thing off my back with a hammer of white light. To lift me up onto the rock of faith. Not doing it myself anymore but as a team with God, because of Christ’s blood and the cross, to be blessed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. How free He had made me, how beautiful He has made the world around me again. But I know we are at war. And I’m am a simple man with no education and not gifted with understanding of words and how they work. I am a reader and have learned words come together the way they do. Also when God speaks through me in notes I take. When I prayed “Lord I am a simple broken useless man, if you’ll have me still? Forgive me for my sins. Come back into my life. My life is yours Lord 3x’s” Now it’s Your will be done Lord, praying for others, and learning to forgive a lot of people I’ve held things on to for a long time. Don’t know when, if the Lord wills it would love to see your ministry. A big thing I’m being lead with is that no longer going to be pushed around by women that have this spirit around them if not in them. God bless you all! Will be watching and praying. If anyone reads this, please pray for me. Don’t feel worthy for this calling on my heart, felt it and fought it a long time. He says fear not, trust and obey. My flesh is weak at times don’t want attention or to be a leader never have. I hear Him say that He will give me authority, when it’s His timing. This person I knew would purposely make us delayed and late, making me feel stressed and rushed. She then made it seem like I had a problem of "being too organised". I simply just wanted to get on that train!
