I was getting ready to say I would get away from the house and do some exploring around. But then I remembered it’s summer time which makes it hard in the woods and the fields. I’m that one old building which was the original house I would pick that place apart. Beautiful looking spot Mike. Things for sharing.

In the first video out there I did get out in the fields and the woods some. That's when I was looking for the slave house, which I found that day. But the hey is so high it makes it difficult to swing in and I didn't find much other than that slave house. We are hoping to get a bush hog in there ready for next time. fingers crossed.

I wish I could go back into those times. Weren't no candy asses around back then and a man was a man! That's what's wrong with the world today, bunch of softies that wouldn't have a clue what to do if it hit the fan! I remember my dad telling me stories back in his early childhood days when he would stay with his grandparents in the winter the glass of water on the night stand would be frozen! And his favorite place was a nook behind the wood cook stove. I actually got some Real Quilts from my Great Great Grandmother this year, hand quilted needle point and filled with the cotton they picked from their fields! Well over 110 yrs old and still in Great condition.

I believe you and I feel about the same way about the state of people in the world today. Today life is way too easy, yet people find reasons to complain about it. Put them in the setting 200 or even 150 years ago and they wouldn't last the week let alone a single day I'll bet. Be thankful you know your dad's stories. That’s what normal used to be. Thanks for watching!

Hi George. I am sorry to say that, due to bad experiences, as a rule we do not bring new people we are unfamiliar with to our permissions on our hunts. On occasion, we will let people know if we're going to hunt some place public such as Donaldson's Air Force Base in Greenville, or the golf course at Donaldson's. Sometimes we meet some great people that way. If we plan a hunt like that, we usually announce it on The Backcountry Diggers Facebook group page. It's been a while since we've done that. So I guess we're due for another public hunt. I'll have to talk to the guys, so keep checking the Facebook group page to see what happens. And thanks for watching the video!

@mikeknobldiggin one person can ruin it for everyone. I get it, though. I would the same way. I can definitely assure you I'm not like that in any way. Maybe you will ask me to come on a public hunt an get to know me, then ask me along the better hunts. I'm all about having fun.
