Can't they just place signs to interrupt the griefers, I mean they would have to break every single sign to place another obsidian block and since signs aren't a physical entity players can just walk through them.

I'm touched by the dedication of the folks who work tirelessly to maintain infrastructure for others. Despite having not played Minecraft for almost a decade, seeing something like this happening in an anarchy server is very much unexpected.

Here’s a strategy: Fill the tunnels with cobwebs. While imperfect this would heavily minimize bedrock placement while providing limited reductions to mobility. Cobwebs are easier to pass through than an obsidian wall after all, especially with the cobweb speed hack enable. However this would ultimately be an imperfect solution to an imperfect problem.

Similar to the tree war its actually easier to create than destroy

This is such a fascinating channel. Perhaps most fascinating about it is that I am so fascinated by it. Don’t take me wrong, I’m not much of a gamer and I certainly don’t know much about Minecraft. I have it on my phone. Hardly played it. I got into Pewdiepie at the same time he started playing Minecraft. Then this channel never ceases to fascinate me. The scale of everything and the maps the time these things take. It’s almost like a digital ancient Egypt that’s still going. Crazy. So vast and so much effort. It’s amazing.

Why do people want to get rid of the nether highways? They are the server's lifeblood. If they are destroyed, then 2b2t's infrastructure will be ruined and travel on the server will grind to a halt, which isn't saying much when travel on the server is slow enough as it is.

If I ever join 2b2t, I’m going to steal peoples roofs. That’s it. I’m just going to go to bases, and steal peoples roofs. Then, all the blocks from the the roof I get, I will use an anvil and name the blocks “(insertusernameheres) roof”. I would not steal any valuables, I would not grief anything, and I would not kill any players. I would sneak up to the top of a base, take the blocks off their roof, and sneak away. But I would also leave a sign on the roof saying “this roof will make a fine addition to my collection -the roof bandit” I don’t care if people know about this. It’s just a idea funny I had. And if I start to do this and people want to join, that would be even funnier. We could try automation, hacking, or even doing things to their roof like flipping it upside down. It would be hilarious.
