after lots of research (yes, im THAT dedicated to find out what happened here) im certain that the crash had damaged a region file and playerdata ive recreated it on a server and hard crashed it so many times till it got damaged, it seems like its a rare occurrence, i only managed to recreate it once, but what happened here is basically server hard crash=data go brrrrrrrrr usually it affects the entire thing but it does sometimes rarely only affect certain files *check the replies for a detailed explanation of why this occurs*

@@igameidoresearchtoo6511 hi, I’m Late but I can explain Minecraft data is saved every x second If something happens during this millisecond, the world file is gonna have some problem, it can be from 1 bloc not in his original place, to the entire world corruption Same for computer, if you manually take the electricity of 10 time, the computer is gonna have some problem

I remember having a very similar issue on one of my own worlds a few years back, turns out a trojan had gotten into my save files. Once I removed it with anti virus the chunk corruption stopped. It may be as simple as the server has or had a virus on it.

I've seen what 2b2t's original ungriefed spawn looked like for the first thirty minutes, and it's a desert, with an inlet where 0,0 is, with a mountain and oak forest behind it. The Notch-era caves were those diagonal tunnels made entirely of stone, without a single stone variant in sight. Now it's a snowy mountain.

I saw 8.3 TB show up a few times in the comments; if that's the actual world size then it's 8x larger than my PC's entire SSD (although I could afford 8TB of hard drives for another project). In terms of bulk file storage it's not unthinkable, but for a SINGLE world save that's a massive amount of data, considering one or two terabytes can store a typical PC gamer's entire library including saves. Heck even other popular MC servers like Hermitcraft or Scicraft are only a few gigabytes...

@@purpleshaft234 you didn't mention water and lava (through infinite source setups), gold (obtained from pigmen), redstone and glowstone (dropped by witches), hay bales, leaves, mushroom blocks and nether wart blocks (through farming), wool (made from string dropped by spiders), bone blocks, emerald blocks (from emeralds dropped by pillagers and such), all items/blocks crafted using wood, cobble, iron and/or smooth stone, prismarine (dropped by guardians), pistons (by crafting using the above), slime and honey blocks, and a possibly of a few others. Of course, i'm not mentioning the possibility of duping blocks.

Its not unique, same thing happened on my server. Idk how to fix it, I just ignored it & it hasn't happened again & it's been 8 months so I'll take that. Yes its caused by certain players when the crash takes place, I had multiple instances of chunk swapping during the crash. The people who were online lost their invs. I fixed the crashing & we just left the glitched area alone, & it's still there if I can find the cords. It was in the boundaries of a players kingdom.

I remember watching this in my reconmended when it was only a week old thanks to my corruption/glitch hyperfixation, and I watched some more of fit's videos. He's still the only 2b2t youtuber i watch, but his content has me interested. The only thing stopping me is that my laptop is broken, the queue line, my shitty internet connection, and then the playerbase. But it's nice to see the people who build shit here despite knowing it's days are numbered. I love this honestly, and I hope that fitmc continues to make content for years to come.

Yes, but actually no. Most bugs and glitches are FOUND on 2b2t. But they can be replicated on other servers. This current bug is not something that can be recreated on another server. It is a bug solely unique to 2b2t.

Hard crash during server autosave / save during stopping. Happened in early versions of Tekkit Classic a lot due to black hole chests storing too many items and causing hard crashes during saving of the chunks that contain them. In that scenario it was a lot worse because the chunk would still be valid enough to load so if you entered or rendered the chunk you would immediately crash your client and sometimes the server.

How about "Ragnarök"? It seems like the server is corrupting players' inventories and chunks(a series of events(invent wipe)/'natural' disasters(chunk corruptions)), and everyone is still angry(as per usual) at each other, so a large scale battle could break out from nowhere(a great battle), and could soon meet it's end(the submersion of the world in water (in this case, the server stops completely for good)). It just seems like the best answer to this question.

Imagine there is like an underground village covered with 100 layers of obsidian and everyone has a job to do. Farmer - Farms the wheat, carrots, potatos and all that stuff. Seller - People who help the farmers sell the food. Defender - Defends the village. The Witch - Makes potions for the king and the elite defenders. Elite Defenders - Have almost every control on the village like the king. The Exploiters - Same as the elite defenders the only difference is that they defend the village from other exploiters. The King - Can Exploit, Can do what he wants, Can force people, Can go outside. (No one else)
