@Joe55darter Good to hear that you like it. We use ours a lot and still like it a lot. We recently used it in the snow during a squirrel hunt. The kids kept fighting over it as it kept them from sliding on the ice and falling down. It is a steep price, but with minimal care it should last a lifetime. Thanks for the update. Very nice video. This is a great product made by Pat Crawford, who is one of the finest guys you ever meet. Pat is a super knife maker as well with some of the best designs on the market. Nice, but I prefer my solid blackthorne hiking staff. It can bend without breaking and is very, very tough. It is rustic, light and makes a great all around walking staff, spider web knocker-downer, great for killing or flipping snakes out of the path, can whomp a wild dog or some rabid critter, has a thumb notch on the top and a cane tip covering a metal tip on the end. Real blackthorne comes from Ireland and England and is not cheap, but I like a wooden stick over a metal one. I also have a real blackthorne cane with the tourist handle. I can see the idea of a hollow staff for carrying things, but a small back pack, or shoulder bag can hold a lot more, and I like the solid shaft hiking stick more than a hollow one. I don't need a blow gun...I carry a Smith and Wesson .38 special revolver with me when I'm out in the wild.

can you use the lower hollow part to carry water? maybe with some o-rings? i'm guessing it will hold about one cup - not much, but it would be nice to have this option...

Some elastic to be used as a hawwaiin sling for fishing or as a standard medical sling or bracing would be beneficial.

Thanks, I bit the bullet and brought one of these things based on this review. I got it, full tilt, 5 bills! Don't regret it one minute, fought off a pack of dogs with this puppy;-) Packs a wallop, yes I possibly could have done the same with a stick, but it just feels right! No I didn't kill any of the animals, would like the opportunity take a whack at the owners who let them run wild though! Awesome piece of work, I guess you just have to realize the potential built in to shell out the dough?

i always love your vids but i checked it out and i was wondering why it was soooooo expensive most i would pay for an aluminum tube and a 440c knife would be around 60 dollars
