These guys have some qualities that not everybody have. And they had these in the first place. When you start an instrument you are not always bad at it and it's not by working two hours a day your entire life that you become incredible at your instrument. Sometimes you just start with abilities that some others don't have so please stop saying that by working 6 or 8 hours a day you will become the greatest. You do not necessarily have a good left hand or a right one and I know it because I play Cello so stop!! And please stop showing off +Nathaneal Horton

I do believe there is some truth to the notion of in-built talent. However, what you're saying is characteristic of a fixed mindset, which assumes that talent, intelligence or creative ability are static givens that cannot be altered in any significant way, that success is a reflection of these base statistics and a result of striving to maintain these. A growth mindset, on the other hand, relishes challenge and sees striving and practice as the road to mastery. Simply ADOPTING this view can have a staggering impact on what you achieve in your life or your practice of a skill. If you believe that talent is only innate, then you will forever be striving to prove this innate talent over and over to others and to yourself. If you believe that these basic traits can be nurtured then you will apply yourself to the goal of unlimited growth. Don't limit yourself with the idea that what you have been given is all you will ever have! Be hungry to learn and not just to prove yourself.

@havokmusicinc
@havokmusicinc 9 жыл бұрын
+kifanga Well, that's because Piazolla's works were tango nuevo - they are intended for listening to, not dancing to. While they still are tangos in the Argentinian sense, it's the same as the difference between bebop and swing: both are subgenres of jazz, but the former is intended for the ear and the latter for the feet.

Why your beautiful eyes Stick to my memory And in my heart? Why does my soul cry? Where have you been Dream of my days? Goddess of my nights? What a curse is this What took you from me? It was this cold sadness From a broken heart, Desolate and lonely. I'm here praying In this ruined altar What a day it was Our love. Lamentations echo through the walls Like injured birds For your absence. Ghost of me, Shadow of what I once was, Drag the chains of memory In places that one day We love, As only the two of us We got to love And to be infinite! (Roberto Maciel - São Paulo - Brasil)

"Oblivion" In 1982 Piazzolla recorded the album Oblivion with an orchestra in Italy for the film Enrico IV, directed by Marco Bellocchio, and in May 1982, in the middle of the Falklands War, he played in a concert at the Teatro Regina, Buenos Aires with the second Quinteto and the singer Roberto Goyeneche. That same year he wrote Le Grand Tango for cello and piano, dedicated to Russian cellist, Mstislav Rostropovich which would be premiered by him in 1990 in New Orleans. (Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astor_Piazzolla) * * * "Oblivion" The piece gives the feeling of sadness although the lyrics speak of love. The way the music makes your emotions go up and down throughout the piece is what strikes me. The music paints a picture of the piece as your listening and I like to be able to visualize what I’m listening to. The way the song starts is very gentle and subtle with all the strings and then as it progresses it grows stronger in the way it sounds. (Source: sites.google.com/a/gapps.uwc.edu/mus-174-rck-sp11/astor-piazzolla--oblivion)
