The two boys, Vito and Wilhelm, find a treasure map that will take them out on an epic adventure hunting a treasure that in the end turns out to be much different than they had expected.

I must be the only one that just wants this to stand alone, without a series. Not that I want the creators to stop, they're marvellous, it's just that this story feels perfect the way it is, and the lack of dialogue is what makes it so powerful. I just feel like giving a long backstory would take away it's originality.

+thesalanian Its greatness comes from expressing one of the most archetypal hero stories. "A" status [ situation that lowers you to A minus status] destination status " A+". As long as they draw from archetypal stories, every creation will feel unique and real to a deeper level.

the creators are actually trying to make this into a series, but it wont be about Wilhem and Vito(the main characters in this video), instead, we'll be getting more backstory of the one/people who founded this era of heroes, perhaps the one who founded and made the map? the mirror? theres an annotation on the video and if you click it, will lead you to their kickstarter page. If you look at the very end you see it is a trick. While it is true that the journey is a reward, but the reward on the map was behind it.

this is a hard one to make into a series. i would go with a full length version, that way you get some back story, dialog, and get to know the main characters. then you just expand on the original. the next full length starts at the exact moment the last one ended.

Wonderful. Great timing. Strong art direction.Wickedly clever. Lot of work. Congrads on getting it done. As far as cutting it up into a series, there is something really great about what is here. One angle is whatever is in the box is something awful that shouldn't be open, X not as marks the spot, but as crossed out, but it gets opened, and then anyone who followed the map has to work at closing it.

The animation is absoloutly beautiful and the story aswell. . I would include dialogue in this film so we could understand the characters more. Put a main villain in there or two to shake things up and why not a love interest? :)
