I found the instructions were not very clear, the nomenclature wasn’t defined well enough regarding power to the switches vs power to the fans. Consequently it took a while to understand how to pair each switch to the corresponding fan; I initially had the right side switch to the left fan and vice versa, then the left switch to both left and right side fans. In short, the switch and its corresponding fan can only be successfully paired if the other switches/fans are completely disconnected from power. The ones you’ve paired will (should) remember as you disconnected from power to continue the process…at least they did for my two.

Yes! The starting sequence they go through seems odd but they start and work every time. I’ve used them in both directions and they remember which direction they were turning when they were shut off. They’re still all but silent when running even full speed.
