I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a proper carbon chassis for the Asc18, and a pinched & dove-tailed body that's made for it, though i do like what you did in your previous video with the body and chassis. Love how this build is coming out. Swapping over to bearings may help with the friction and reduce the heat a little.

Yeah I may have to do that. Kinda wanted to keep it bushings just cause I will mostly bash it anyway so the bushings hold up pretty well in water and sand etc lol

You can stick a piece of foam in the clips to stop it from coming off easy

You probably know this but I think the issue with the smasher is the battery. Get one without the protection and seems to work fine. While the traxxas is a cool truck. I believe the smasher with the speed motor is better bang for your buck, and then if you want to spend that much money get the Losi Entertaining content. Always something to watch on your channel. Keep it up.

Yeah the stock battery craps out on the smasher. If you could run 3s on the smasher stock esc it would definitely be king! I’d definitely just buy the losi at this point though!

Nice BUDGET build on this. Hope Traxxas is watching. Nice speed. Maybe try MofoRC big block if that smasher speed motor goes. And love that the mirrors are staying on.

Maybe open diff and make it wider and wider monster truck tires and make it compatible w brushless mini Godzilla motor👌🏻 feels like that would make a sweet build… and reliable! If you gonna make it happen make sure you tag me! I wanna see if it’s possible ✨✨✨

Awesome Matt, I got the black F150 on order supposed to ship out late May. I’ll probably put stock steel gears in, now did you leave it unlocked or is it locked now? Sure appreciate you sharing. I am stoked about getting one even if it is a little slow, I just love to look of it for sure.

These come locked out of the box. It’s still locked. It would be cool if they had an open diff option for them!

these new trx4mt are pretty sweet looking. Planning on getting the blue ford and the bigfoot kit when it becomes available. Do you think the speed motor would work fine with the stock esc and the 2s battery?

Never really use it on the micros. They aren’t really that fast until you go all out on them lol. I can run it though and see what it puts up.

The money needed to be apent on the traxxas, to me, doesnt make it worth the money... The losi kills this on every way... Just mt opinion.. 👍 still, an awesome vvid

Yeah I agree! The losi is way more fun imo and a better value. By the time you do these cheap mods and metal gears etc. it’s as expensive or more expensive and not as capable or fun.

@@user-ui1ew3ws9z I was running an older palm beach bots battery in this vid. I actually prefer the galaxy batts much more though. Haven’t had any issue with them yet and have now had several of the palm beach batts die on me. itgresa.com/product/galaxy-450mah-3s-lipoly-pack/

@@therealcletusrc yeah they really just wanted to capitalize on the license they had for the bodies 😆 Can’t blame them though. Just think they should’ve at least made it a little faster out of the box. I’ve made it perform for $50 so Traxxas could’ve done the same for about $10 lol

What did you expect from Ratxxas? Just a money grab. A freaking static model with sub par detail and sub par speed. So more mods mods mods to barely get it moving! You're one of the few channels exposing RATxxas

Yeah they do the same thing with basically every model they release. Set it up to be a money pit! I do like their bashers but crawlers are just ok imo. Appreciate the comment!

Traxxas is a joke! They love to take a preexisting chassis add a couple gimmicks and sell it to ignorant unsuspecting customers. You all need to stop giving this company your money..........
