Күн бұрынFrom Undriveable to Unstoppable! SUCCESS!!! We've got our 2JZGTE Swapped Mercedes Benz SL500 up and RIPPING with the new 6 Speed manual swap. After a complete let down in the first go around with this car, we did a lot of digging, and trouble shooting to get that turbocharged Toyota 6 cylinder running and full steam, and it's a BEAST! It's out running around on the PA streets and it's a complete riot! A tire killing, big boost luxury boat is a thing of beauty!

Tech tip: Injectors are one-way valves. You can blow out junk by using carb or brake clean and spraying through the outlet (cylinder end) of the injector. Not as good as the bench cleaner that they used but enough to get you running again if crap got in the intake (rail) side of the injector. Thanks for another great video. That thing is a BEAST.

Skip the blow off valve, you'll thank me when you nail a shift with full boost. I ran an EFR 6758 off an indycar for like 2 years without a bov and it had zero shaft play.

It's an epic swap. With my 1JZ-vvti, I removed the wasted spark and fitted coil on plug sequential ignition when upgrading to a Haltech. In the previous videos with this JZ SL Merc, you can also hear the Wastegate sounds kinda funny when it's on boost. That's the wasted spark setup for you....Sounds great now though :-)

huh thats interesting, i did notice it sounded a bit different than im used to and i also have a sequential injected screamer 1j. whats the theory on why it changes the sound?

@@ooohry I think it's because with the wasted spark setup, it fires on the exhaust stroke, so you get the funny sound from the screamer pipe!
