Did range specialist get nerfed? I vaguely remember it giving more range?

It did along with being made more expensive. To the point where it was always a must-pick in a standard v standard game, making it boring and OP.

Mass early fortress but no elite marksman? Range enhancement, launcher overload and elite marksman fortresses are insane if you can get it going. I dont feel like barrage is worth it because there are a lot of other stuff thats good against lots of smaller air units, and snipers delete all big air units. Using that much money and an upgrade slot just so a unit has a okay ability that can only shoot air is imo not that worth it.

"it can only shoot air" is what makes this so stong, no matter what chaf or other units the oppents have this will always target thier air units, unlike any other attack in the game. It deletes wasps and phoenix, aginst the bigger ones It is mostly not enough on its own
