They run Peterbilt 579's at FedEx and all the harnesse issues and the older ones with the ultra shifts oh yeah. Our shops do the harnesses lots of times vs them sending out but they have lots of practice changing them. I am fortunate enough to have a KW with the 12 SPD endurant. Been a descent tractor so far.

Andy just a thought, I always tried to just have a pilot and tractor together, so it is easier for traffic to pass. Have trucks sit at last field until they can travel at road speed or stage somewhere else. Other than that good job Andy !!!!

Hi from oz Andy. From all my years hay contracting I found once those pickup.chains start to break they are worn out. So I would carry precut chains and joiners for every length chain on the pickup and if one broke just put the new chain in and go. I got it down to under 15 mins to put on new chain and be rolling again. The cost of having new chain there ready to go was so.small compared to.the earning capacity of the machine it was a no brainer to have pre cut ready to go.
