The point is described in the video. The stock e-locker only engages is 4 low. This allows you to lock your rear diff in 2 wheel drive.

Do you know of anyone doing this on a 3nd Gen Taco ???? I would love to do this on my truck --- takes real guts to mess with these hi-tech computer driven trucks. You are amazing to attempt this. thx for the video.

The reason you don’t diff lock in 4 high is because you are able to be in 4x4 at higher speeds

What is the point of this ? Doesn’t ur truck already have a switch for diff lock ?

Ok your video is great. I'm doing this to my 05 Tacoma and all the wiring harness look like same except the yellow and black wire is one pin lower on my harness and there's a a greayish and black wire in the first pin location. Just wondering if I should still go in pin 1 or pin 2 with the yellow and black wire. Tia

Sorry I don't understand. You have a stock locker? Why is the OE switch there? What's the point of this?

Does your Tacoma come with a diff lock switch? Or are you making one for it

“My switch”... then diff lock switch however if you leave the switch on even if the diff isn’t locked it will throw an abs code; this will go away after three stops n starts.
