Love this! I have soooo much fabric left over from previous projects and had been intending to start making scrappy quilts and not buy new fabric- this is perfect! I also like the suggestion above for joining flat using 2 strips, i think it will lie flatter and be less bulky. Thanks 😊

If you sew 2 strips to one side, then sew the next block to one strip,1/2" away, both 1/4" edges will lie flat inside your joining strips. Yes 3 seams, not 2, but better finish. Look up pattern Poole for joining techniques, to join quilt as you go blocks.

That is seriously awesome!!❤😍 I love that stitch you used to quilt the blocks, love the way you joined the blocks. Amazed at the wonderful result you got using that puffy batting...I struggle with that! And your blocks appear to line up perfectly. Beautiful. And a 'true' quilt, using scraps like that😉

Great idea to use your scraps up. You could donate it to local charities my sister fosters children a great charity is backpacks for kids win Australia who would gladly accept quilts for kids.

I don't see the point of having to use every last piece of fabric. I donate the fabric to a local quilt group. I enjoy making quilts and don't want to waste my time with little scraps.

As someone who frequently receives other quilters scraps, Im certain they appreciate them. There are many quilters who truly enjoy the appearance, thriftiness, and historical connection to our ancestors, of scrappy quilts.
