It's because elves usually all look the same. Everyone else is very disticutally different. Yet elves tend to look similar. I mean, it took working for like 4 different types of Asians before I could tell them apart and not even by simple looks lmao. Ayo, even fantasy realms got they racism lmao

It's more funny because in the books, Frodo and Legolas have very long conversations. You come to learn that Legolas, despite being a "young" elf, is amazingly wise but also battle-hardened and quite scarred from losing so many of his people in such a short period of time. He knows that the time of the Elves is at an end, and there is a great deal of melancholy in his wisdom.

Another theory in this thread. When Thorin gives Bilbo the mithril shirt, Thorin tells him that it was made for an "Elven Prince". Legolas was the only Elf prince who was born during the time of the Lonely Mountain's height. So Frodo could be wearing Legolas's old clothes.

There not any indication of the shirt's age. It could be much, much older than we might think at first. It could have been made in Moria for a prince of Beleriand. It might be more recent, as well. I don't think there's any reason to rule out that Legolas actually has a younger brother that we simply have never heard about. In fact, I think to me that would be the most interesting reason.

If there's love in your heart you forgive. The act proves the truth. To be forgiven we must forgive. Start with your parents, they've loved you, they're easiest. Look inside for the grievances we all build up there and Genuinely forgive from within. It teaches you something you can learn no other ways. You have to learn first hand by what this process does inside your soul. Please trust me. Break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness today. It's not too late. God loves you. The Shire is actually younger than Gollum. Which is why Gollum wasn't able to tell Sauron where it was. By time he was able to figure out its location, Gandalf had already set his plans into motion. Sauron is older than Gollum, which means he is older than the creation of the Shire. He actually doesn't know its location. lol He finds out, but only after the ring changed ownership to Frodo and Frodo was already leaving the Shire to destroy it.

'Well, I can remember three nights there for certain, and I seem to remember several more, but I would take my oath it was never a whole month. Anyone would think that time did not count in there!' 'And perhaps that was the way of it,' said Frodo. 'In that land, maybe, we were in a time that has elsewhere long gone by. It was not, I think, until Silverlode bore us back to Anduin that we returned to the time that flows through mortal lands to the Great Sea. And I don't remember any moon, either new or old, in Caras Galadhon: only stars by night and sun by day.' Legolas stirred in his boat. 'Nay, time does not tarry ever,' he said; 'but change and growth is not in all things and places alike. For the Elves the world moves, and it moves both very swift and very slow. Swift, because they themselves change little, and all else fleets by: it is a grief to them. Slow, because they do not count the running years, not for themselves. The passing seasons are but ripples ever repeated in the long long stream. Yet beneath the Sun all things must wear to an end at last.' 'But the wearing is slow in Lórien,' said Frodo. `The power of the Lady is on it. Rich are the hours, though short they seem, in Caras Galadhon, where Galadriel wields the Elven-ring.' (FOTR)

That´s what happens when people don't read the books... In the first book, "The Fellowship of the Ring," Legolas says to Frodo: "The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater." This quote highlights Legolas' wisdom and his ability to see beauty in the world despite the dangers they face. In the second book, "The Two Towers," Legolas and Frodo have a conversation about the nature of the One Ring. Legolas says, "The power of the Enemy is growing. Sauron will use his puppet Saruman to destroy the people of Rohan. Isengard has been unleashed. The Eye of Sauron now turns to Gondor, the last free kingdom of men. His war on this country will come swiftly. He senses the Ring is close. The strength of the Ringbearer is failing. In his heart, Frodo begins to understand. The quest will claim his life." This conversation highlights the seriousness of the task that Frodo has undertaken and the immense pressure he is under. Later in "The Two Towers," after the Fellowship has been separated, Legolas and Aragorn encounter Frodo and Sam in the wilderness. Legolas is overjoyed to see them, and he says to Frodo, "I would have been dead before I could have withdrawn my eyes from the little hill, if what I saw was true. Dead twice over, in fact. Yet I live, and I have recovered my arms. And I know not whether to laugh or weep." This quote shows Legolas' deep affection for Frodo and his relief at finding him safe and sound.
