Who says you can't have fun off-roading in a 2WD?! Good times as always on the Cleghorn Trail and off-shoots in my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road!

It's cute watching the person in the Jeep Gladiator go super slow up the hill, and then 2wd Tacoma barrels through it like a boss.

What kind of suspension do you have? Leafs? Tires? Sorry for all the questions...just impressed you got out of all those spots!
@TheStokedLife3 жыл бұрын

Nice video man ! Just waiting to get my new tires to head over there myself ! Did you get caught up anywhere ?

Do you regret not getting a 4x4 or does the 2wd with locker work well for you?
@TheStokedLife3 жыл бұрын
I really don't regret it, as when I bought the truck I had NOOOO idea I would have this much fun off-roading! I really just wanted a Tacoma. In hindsight, I would of course bought a 4x4... but then realized how capable this truck really is! My next truck will undoubtedly be a 4x4, but this truck is too fun right now! Thanks for checking out the video!

God damn! using lockers the whole way? Whats your tire and suspension set up?
@TheStokedLife4 жыл бұрын
Definitely not using the locker the whole way! I only use it when I know one of the rear tires may be off the ground. My suspension is King 2.5 EXTs front/rear, with ICON AAL in the rear. Total Chaos UCAs. I am on Stealth Customer Series Ray10s (16x8 -12 offset) with BFG KO2 285/75/R16. Thanks for watching!

@@TheStokedLife What about LCAs? I'm getting KING 2.5s front and back with adjusters and with Maxtrac front spindle lift, OME Dakars for the rear with Timbren Active Off road bumps front and back. TRO Pro 4runner rims 17in with Cooper STT Pros. I am hoping I can do this stuff with my setup in my 2WD, but Im MOVTech extra durable stock LCAs since I cant imagine spending $1700 on LCAs.

@@Voss2120 I am still on stock LCAs.

Maybe is cuz I'm cheap but I won't want to off-road my brand new truck. Lol I've seen way too many videos of people bending their frames on brand new vehicles.
@ronpagala74962 жыл бұрын
Buy a tank if you want to go offroad and you don’t have to worry about bending frames.

Nice! Were you locked for all these? Or just LSD?
@TheStokedLife3 жыл бұрын
MH831 Thanks! 👊🤙 I wasn’t locked on all, but definitely the off-shoots with the deep, undulating ruts, for sure! Like the first one... ;-)

2wd will do fine in this type of trails, the problem its mud and deep sand
@@TheStokedLife i have the same truck as you, same size tires, same lift/ground clearance, I'm impressed on how far it can go, but that's not real mud and deep sand on your videos compared with what we have here in Florida, I've managed to go some distance but at the end I'll get stuck
@TheStokedLife3 жыл бұрын
@@RagingBad fair enough. I'm sure that whatever I do with my truck will never be "real" enough for everyone out there. The fact remains that I will continue to enjoy taking my truck to places in CA, AZ, UT, and NV that I am told it cannot go. I tend to agree with you about mud on the east coast -- but I'm not sure I agree with you that Ocotillo Wells doesn't have "real" sand. 🤷♂️

@@TheStokedLife judging by your use of "" I think you misunderstood my comment, I'm impressed by what you do with a 2wd but I'm sharing my experience with you about how far a 2wd can really go and what are their limitations, like I've said I have the same truck/specs as you, I would never make fun or criticize what you're doing since that would be nonsense, we try to get the most out of what we have
