Kawasaki KX85 Fork Rebuild | Back in the Garage

Күн бұрынIn this episode of Back in the Garage I replace the fork seals, dust covers, fork oil and install new springs in Luke's 2017 Kawasaki KX85. While I don't technically do a full rebuild with all new bushings, the process is exactly the same.

Be sure to loctite your compression unit and pull up on the cartridge all the way through to make sure they are bled all the way

Took me a little bit to get my orientation switched around, my bikes (Bonnie and the Yamaha) have right-side-up forks so that's how I'm used to seeing the internals. Brings back memories of putting Race Tech cartridge emulators (and stiffer springs) in the Bonnie (amazing transformation), but that also involved drilling through the damper rod (went from a single 1/16th" bleed hole to six 5/16th" ones). When I read over the directions and got to that step I couldn't help but think, "Do what?"

Gonna be doing this to my sons 2014 KX85 this winter. Never done it before. Thanks for the video. As a side note, you'll never get youtube sponsors. Calling your "Glad Clingwrap" the competitions name "Saran Wrap" isn't good for business! :)

315ml but really need to go off the height, not the volume
