I have a silvertop in my AE101. No options, manual windows, just power steering. I figure its pretty light too. But mine doesn't pull anywhere near the red AE92...

You need to turbo the silvertop if you want it to get fast like that I recently put a blacktop 6speed manual in my ae101 and I am sure I would give that silvertop a run for his $$ silvertops handles turbo better than blacktop also I still need to change rods and pistons to turbo

You have ae101 too. :) Instead of investing into turboing the silver, would it be better to get a 2zz instead?

It doesn't work like that in city touge. You need to just try not to kill people. It's easy to say until you're in the driver seat when it's wet on the road and you're going 3 times faster than traffic. The wear to the transmission and engine don't matter. parts are cheap and those cars are easy to fix. I mostly drive Nissan SE-R's and sileighty's but it is the same concept.

for the money you will spend and amount of power you will make no that wont really make sense you go for a 2zz the better bet would be to swap for a 3SGTE you will make wayy more power than a 2zzge and 20v but if I were you I won't swap a 20v for another 2l engine might as well go sr20 if I were you I would just turbo the 20v and I can assure you 20v blacktop at 7 psi with a good ecu management is VERY fast and will dick any 2zz that comes your way

Luke Augustine thanks alot man I thought about turbocharging it also but can't find any solid information on how other than a kit for it which I may have to source. If you have any knowledge on it please share

you just need turbo, turbo manifold, intercooler, the pipes, bigger fuel pump, 2000cc injectors, afr gauge, wideband and a tunable ecu and a blow off valve and you might consider changing the size of your exhaust pipes to like 2 and a half to 3 inches but thats just how to turbo the 20v as is without upgrading any parts in the engine for big boost lets say you wana make around 300+ whp you need to change out the pistons to lower compression and rods basically forged internals and also your valve springs need to change as well everyone normally uses supertech valve springs on the 20v now if you swap for a 3sgte but it must be 3SGTE not the non turbo version(3sge) all you would need to do is simply put on a bigger turbo and intercooler
