We met Serge in 1984 in Darwin as we were also sailing around the world, in our comparatively large 35ft. What a modest and kindly person he was. An honour to briefly share our world together.

En 1942 el argentino Vito Dumas con el Legh I, de 9 metros, cruza, por la ruta de los 40 bramadores y da la vuelta al mundo en solitario. Luego lo repetiría con el Legh II

He should have met Joshua Slocum…what an adventurer! Makes me think about the word „success“ and its meaning - especially in the modern sailing world. This is just awesome. Thank you for making this accessible.

I have an 8 1/2 foot sailing dinghy he made. He was using it as a tender on his yacht...a bit bigger than this one :)

trabaje por casi diez años en barcos de carga, la eslora promedio era de 180 metros, cuando habia tormenta se movia que daba miedo, ahora imagina un pequeño velero de cuatro metros, tuvo suerte si no se topo con mal tiempo, se habria surrado el tipo.
