3.2 vr6 swap from Touareg into a 2004 GTI VR6.

Күн бұрынTalking about few things that need to be changed for the Touareg engine to fit into vw gti 3.2 swap. Oil pump, keeping the big oil heat exchanger and Touareg fuel rail and injectors. Lower timing cover modified.

This is my project on cheap. I did do full service at used car dealership for 8 years.

Did you use the oil rad From the Touareg With the new pump?

Yes I used the big Touareg oil heat exchanger. It's bigger but I got it to fit.

Did you get to use the crank pulley from the Touareg Or you use 2.8 ?

What ECU did you use to run the engine?

So right now it runs on stock 2.8 ecu no codes but runs rich and doesn't go to closed loop. I'm trying to figure out how to tune it or go with UM swap tune.

Did you have to make modifications to the head for transverse mounting?

No you don't. It's the same head. Some difference in valve covers but it depends what engine code you have. Early 3.2 or later generation. Mine came from 2004 Touareg.

@@sergesvz I was just talked out of using a 3.2 from a Touareg because it wasn’t transverse mounted.

@@sergesvz that’s good news because those selling them out of a R32 up the price because it’s from an R32. It has to be from a 2004 only?

Yes I did with an aftermarket fuel regulator.

Hi. It ran good in the summer and something happened in the winter. I lost oil pressure. I will be making a video update of what's going on.
