3 Awesome Ideas - Simple Life Hacks

In this video I will show you 3 useful life hacks using hot wire you can do at home. All materials and components can be found in your local hardware store. Read more here!
Number 1: This is a simple water heater, and can also be used as a fire starter! This amazing device is powered from a 3S (12V) battery and boils a fair amount of water very quickly (1 minute).
Number 2: Heating gloves is very comfy during the winter! Using a larger diameter wire the 9V battery supplies enough current for the wire to become quite hot.
Number 3: A woodburning pen can be used to make cool art and obviously leaves permanent markings on the wood you're burning.

Aren't electrons flowing through the wire, rather than the water? Thereby no electrolysis occurs - otherwise surely this would happen in all household kettles and cause explosion risk all over the world!

You should mount the shocks on the frame to help with clearance, but keep it full droop. You may even want to try mounting the shocks closer to the center of the truck.

Thank you so much bro! A larger diameter wire will have to melt more material in order to move forward. I use a 32 gauge kanthal wire.

the fist one can be very dangerous. since you are shorting the positive and negative output of a lipo, its like you were shorting it directly. if you keep it on for longer than 15sec, it will damage the lipo, 30secs and more and you will have nice fireworks on your hand. just a tip, dont do this first one with a lipo battery. when you do, make sure to put a protective circuit there.

32 gauge kanthal wire(you can find similar wire at vape shops), wire clippers(can be substituted with a clean nail clipper), crimps, something to squeeze them onto the wire with, a switch, a soldering iron, solder, a battery(if you want to use smaller batteries you might need to connect them in series) and i think thats it

Thats dangerous bro , in some cases the resistance might be too low or too high that your battery might blown up , learn ohms law before doing that stuff

You failed to mention that you are short-circuiting the battery to create the heat, and without properly rating the coil you may be overstressing the battery, which can lead to catastrophic failure such as thermal runaway.

just go to shop and look for something that looks somewhat the same.. if its from metal it should conduct electricity

for gods sake make sure the wire you use doesnt have a resistance thats too low or you might draw too many amps from your battery and if it heats up too much it could vent hot toxic gas and even explode
