In this instructional video we describe the 3 Best ways to rig soft plastics! These techniques will work for flounder and trout, but are talking about targeting Redfish with plastics specifically.
Fishing with soft plastics is one of the most popular styles of fishing and there are many different ways to present these awesome lures to a wide variety of Saltwater fish. In this video we will talk about fishing soft plastics on a Jig head, fishing them on a weedless shank weighted hook and a weedless weightless bass style hook.
We will also talk about when to use each application fishing saltwater and how to determine the retrieve speed or cadence you should focused on using.

Again, good tips for great fishing. Flounder season is what Im waiting for. Rigging the finger mullet plastics correctly will always get you some nice bring home doormats. Great demo on rigging plastics Brad. Thanks buddy! From Sugarland, Texas...Tight lines never stop!!

That was a great Demo on rigging Soft Plastic Paddletails and Flukes when going after Reds. Fan-casting Paddletails across a chosen "fishy" spot, and fishing the lure in the lower 2' of the water column, is the quickest way I know to cover a lot of water quickly.

Hello SYOT , What size Spinning rod & reel combo would you use if u were a lure chunker ninety % of the time ? ( & wat models would make it worth using hard for 3 seasons ). Do You plan to do some trips out to La Florida maybe nxt year so we can learn bout gamefishing in Sunshine State 🤙 ? Or deep South Tx ( Uppr / Lowr Laguna Madre ? )

Good afternoon!! All of our Spinning reels we use for lure chunking are 3000 size and our rods are 7' 6" med. They are the same body size as a 2500 but with a larger spool for a higher line capacity. I throw all Shimano Stradic or Sustains but have recently purchased a Florida Fishing Carbon Osprey to see if I can find a reel with the same durability but a taste cheaper. If you look back in our videos we actually sent last Thanksgiving in the Florida Keys and made 6 vids while there. We do have plans to go to Port Mansfield in the near future as well!!! If i didn't answer anything fully please let me know and thank you so much for the support!!!

What's up from Katy and thank you for the video Mr. Brad. I grew up with using live bait, mainly mullet caught fresh with a cast net, but I've been wanting to get into trying out some lures. The bass pro section for lures is a little overwhelming, to say the least, so I figured I give what you are using a shot. I found the 3jd stuff, but can't seem to find those Hooked Up softs, the 3.5" white with yellow paddles. Do you happen to have a direct link to them?
