Synopsis
The series is based on the Hugo Award-winning Chinese novel "The Three-Body Problem" by Liu Cixin. Set across continents and decades, it follows the journey of Ye Wenjie, an astrophysicist who witnesses her father's tragic fate during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Conscripted by the military due to her scientific expertise, Ye Wenjie finds herself at a secret military base in a remote region. Her decision to respond to contact from an alien planet sets off a chain of events that reverberates through time, involving a group of present-day scientists. As they grapple with humanity's greatest threat, the stakes couldn't be higher.
