The last point in the video is kind of confusing because in Lean classes you learn that inspection wouldn't increase the quality of the products coming out of the line but in here when you had a another set of eye as an inspector you increased the reliability percentage. Can you elaborate on this? or I might be mistaking these two concepts.

In general 6 sigma books: Six sigma is mentioned as 3.4 defects per million. In this lecture,it is mentioned as 1 in 500 million.i,e 0.002 defects per million. Is 3.4 DPM is considering 1.5 sigma shift?Why it is not mentioned as 0.002 DPM?

Yes, 2 defects per billion is "theoretical" while 3.4 defects per million is "practical" (i.e., taking into account a 1.5 sigma shift).
