After reading your comment,I looked up the pilot in this movie and he died in a plane crash on September 11, 2015 , while working on the movie American Made. Apparently he was a big pilot in the movie industry.

Original was better with a balance of serious and comedy plus Michael Caine. It was a unique and entertaining story from the 1960's .

Russian dude did his business with whoever was sitting on the gold mountain cuz it is well-known fact that A lot of personal vendettas are always buried alongside precious shiny things no matter where the mountain is located best to always do business with whoever is sitting on top of it especially if they have being there for extended period of time their local experties is like God-send that can either lead you to the right side smoothly or have you walk around in circles till you run out of funds. Do your business and never get involved in their local affairs is very easy thing to do but some how complicated concept to grasp for ppl who call themselves serious business ppl. Malicious misscheif does throw a spanner even in the most well-oiled machine.

nah, it was very clear what mashkov wanted. he wanted the man responsible for killing his cousin. him getting paid off was simply the icing on the cake. if he was merely siding with whoever had the gold he couldve let steve go for an even bigger bribe or even easily overpowered everyone and take all the gold himself. that situation literally couldve gone 3 different ways but he chose the route that kept him an honest business partner which unironically gave him the least amount of money.

And yeah getting his lick back for his cousin by royally fucking over the guy who fucked him over by being nice to dudes who are even more angry at said dude without lifting a finger but just showing up. @Chuggaacola by the way if he over powered everyone and took the gold he saw himself how the story went when Steve tried that even if he got rid of everyone u can never be sure that there ait somebody out there that knows the whole story and who is the last one standing and for a dude like him think he got enough problems out there then to create other one out of pure greed Guess what am sayin is most criminals ait as stupid and greedy as other folks especially at that level they can calculate variables and their consequences on the go... lil amount is better then whole amount that comes with extra headaches.
