What’s up my piano friends!! Today’s video we’re going go over 3 beautiful-but-easy classical pieces that even a beginner could learn.
I’ve simplified the music to make it beginner-friendly without changing the essence of the sound - in fact, 99% of people won’t even notice a difference, but it makes it WAY easier to play. In fact, even if you can’t read music AT ALL you could still learn using Chord Shapes (you’ll see what I mean in the video…)
Here’s what we’ll cover:
1: The Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven
2: Fur Elise - Beethoven
3: Gymnopédie No 1 - Satie
Make sure you stick around to the end - a lot of beginners think it’s impossible to learn their favorite songs on piano right off of the getgo - but once you see HOW we’re learning these pieces, you’ll see it’s often easier than you’d think.

Zach, I'm only able to find your simplified version for Moonlight Sonata; the other 2 links (for the other 2 songs) are not showing your simplified version, but only their sheet music, which I can't read yet. Help?

This is valuable! Even as a child I wasn't interested in "kids' songs"; I thought they were boring and silly. It's nice to see music that a beginner can play that isn't literally childish.

As a mostly self taught novice player and I did a bunch of similar tricks to play songs that were too hard. I can read music so I knew what I could cut and still have it sound like the song. I'm trying to go further now and your teaching methods really help.

Hi Zach, thank you for this video, these are definitely worth learning since most people will recognize them as soon as you start playing. I have a question about the cheat sheets. I clicked on the link, entered my name and email, but only the Moonlight Sonata sheet has the chords displayed. Was there supposed to be chords for the other two cheat sheets?
