I am very confused about varieties of Champa. In India magnolia is also called Champa, like Sonchampa and Swetchampa is magnolia,not Plumeria...Which one is Plumeria alba and which one is rubra? Also need to know which variety produces the most fragrant flowers?... If some list is provided based on fragrance and varieties of Champa below it would have been helpful. Thanks

Botanically I can't tell you correctly about different plumerias but surely sonchampa is entirely a different plant. And plumeria with white flower and oblong rounded leaf from top has maximum fragrance .

@Amlaan Baag Ma'am , I have purchased a new variety of magnolia(magnolia Grandiflora). Magnolia Grandiflora is called Himchampa. In Hindi it's also called Kawathi Chafa. I have also purchased Ylang Ylang/Cananga odorata(Harichampa). In Bengali its called Kathalichampa. I have also purchased following four different varieties of Plumeria: Pudica or Nagchampa-Not fragrant white flowers Plumeria Obtusa/Golpatta-white fragrant flowers Plumeria rubra(red color,not so fragrant flowers) and another unknown plumeria variety(the nursery claims that its very fragrant). I already had Sonchampa(Magnolia Champaca) and SwetChampa(Magnolia Alba). I would like to share with you, photos of all these varieties. Thanks for providing the inputs:)
