I started feeding my neighborhood crows a few weeks ago, and the roosting flock made a brief stop at my house last night, which does not normally happen. There was so many that even the sounds of their wings flapping was loud. An incredible sight!

I've seen all of these! There's even a funny video circulating of city crows playing on a snow covered car! Rolling down the windshield in the snow like it's a slide, then getting to the top and doing it again. So much fun to watch, no matter what they're doing!

They are quite amazing. In my valley the crows fly from mountains 4 miles to the east of town in the morning and head west in the plains and opposite mountains.

Thank you for this video. I have been feeding two small flocks peanuts. They sit on my roof and call me when they want their peanuts. They have even brought me a marble and sparkly ornaments from xmas decorations. They are so entertaining.

I have been following a murder "flock" of 2,330 crows in Kingston Ontario since December 14, it is now March 2. I get to observe and photograph them most days before sunrise and at sunset. You are quite correct, there is a lot to learn about their activities, and communications. Trying to understand what they are thinking. Crows never used to hang around here in the winter, but arrived early in the spring from Pennsylvania. Now with global warming, we are the new winter territory which I am documenting. Their average date of arrival from the south was February 19. The Kingston Field Naturalists has good reliable data going back to 1964 on crow numbers. From 1964 to 1975 they averaged finding 19 crows per day on a bird count day. From 1976 to 1987 it was up to 50 per day, It has soared over 1,000 only in the last couple of years, I can find that number any day now, if I can track them down because this all happens just at sunset, or before sunrise very much limiting viewing time. I am waiting to determine when they disburse for nesting in a few week which is suppose to happen in March. I have a thousand photos and short video of this and detailed daily notes to work with later. This is more than just bird watching, it is an historical event, coupled with climate change.

I've watched that ritual of evening flock of crows happen over and over again in my home town. I did not know they all slept together! Very interesting.

Love it! I feed a family of 6 crows every day. There's one of them who says "Hello!" whenever he/she sees me 😂🥰 I look forward to seeing them every day!

Thank you so much 💖. The communal roosting behavior is fascinating and I'd give anything to see where our two farm crows go at night! About a month ago, the third crow disappeared, so the remaining two are much busier switching out the sentinel duties. They don't have as much time to finish the breakfast I leave out for them so the ravens usually get it instead. I have heated, insulated water tubs for both the crows and my horses, but they all just stand next to them and eat snow 😂😂🤪. Do you know why they tend not to show up on bad weather days (cold/snowy)? Where do they stay??

I have always noticed that crows gather in large groups in the winter, the way they tend not to do in summer. Just saw it this morning in a graveyard in Dundee Scotland. The only time I’ve seen a large group of crows in the summer when they were all attacking one crow. Drove it into undergrowth and looked like they were going to kill it.

Out of more than 30 species of bird that visit my garden, here in the UK, the crows are the most interesting to watch! I really enjoyed your video on the behaviour of a larger gathering of these beautiful birds as I only have a mated pair that I've been assisting for a couple of years by daily feeding/or as and when required. I like to think we've established a mutually balanced quid pro quo relationship - or should that be quid pro crow😄 haha! I must be doing something right as they seem to like leaving me gifts of pebbles, an old haircomb, or screwed up balls of foilwrap etc. Anyway, thank you so much for the video!👍😊

I have a tree outside my office window and I am watching a crow snap off the dead twigs on my tree. The dry twigs are brittle and they are just discarded and fall to the ground. There is quite a collection accumulating under the tree.

When the crows in my area of the Wisconsin(USA) go to roost, they fly over my work. Because I feed a few at my work, everyone thinks that I am calling these hundreds of crows. When in actuality they roost about the time I leave work. Regardless I love it.

Hello! I love the information that you are sharing. I love watching the crows (all birds actually) in my Southern California neighborhood. The crows definitely seem to run everything in the bird world as far as I can tell. The hawks just try to get by in the crow world around here.

We enjoy watching the crows around our neighbourhood. In the winter, they tend to leave the houses and hang out in a nearby park. Perhaps they're gathering together in bigger groups. I'm not really sure. We've also seen a raven which is unusual. It is usually near one of the fast food restaurants in a strip mall. I always thought that ravens didn't like the big cities but obviously, I'm wrong.

It's 4:00 pm in Maine, and I have just observed a huge flock of crows gathering in a distant tall tree.

so thats what he lads are doing, they car pool!

I am trying to figure out if my crows are following me to work 🥹 I think they are and I love it. I am loving feeding them and making them different nutritious plates of food and now I am just really needing to dive into their behavior 🥹 I should probably start a channel to document this
