Routers get warm, make sure there is still plenty of airflow around it.

Hide everything so then when you need to troubleshoot it you can't see what error lights are flashing and then you have to remove everything from boxes.

As soon as they started cutting the books I was out. I'm done, I can't, so despicable.

Giselle Hernandez I agree. I could never allow myself to purposely destroy a book. I can’t even stand dog earring a book.

or you cam simple cut off the entire bottom of the box and simply lift off the box, print, then put back when done and printer's cooled off

Ok, I don't know if it's because I'm a guy or something, but I don't find all these tech things ugly, my problem is limited space for my tech, especially for my big bulky printer, and a box would not solve that!, it would still take up space!, and that's just so awkward, keeping it in a box, so if you have to change the ink, you have to reach deep inside the box, and if I have to scan or photocopy, I have to reach deep inside it too, and the lid of the printer would bump up against the box wall and not be able to stay open properly, and plus the wrist and back of my hands are going to be hitting the sides of the box, restricting their movement as I'm working inside the box, and I would have to be looking at what I'm doing from an awkward angle, as I work down inside the box!

I'm seriously concerned about the fire hazard here. Electrical items especially tech gets very hot; and if you're using older wired tech; the chances are it hasn't had it's thermal paste changed in a while; so it's going to get even hotter. There are loads of great and creative ways to hide technology; don't use cardboard. If you're going to use wood; cardboard or any flammable material; make sure you've got heat resistant coatings on there and a few extra fans. Alternatively. Invest in an electrical engineer to install your routers; hubs etc in the attic/ loft or cellar/basement; have clean built in network docking stations. If you can't afford that (like me); DIY Perks has some great tutorials which meet the necessary safety requirements.

Is it hiding cables or hiding equipment? Cable will still be out - let alone it’s fire hazard

Mitali probably not enough heat for a fire but could definitely depelete the lifetime of your router specifically because of how toasty it could get. But chances of a fire are too slim

my router puts out enough heat that I can put a tray of herbs on top and dehydrate them in a few hours... Personally I think there would be a fire risk with the routers at least....

The problem - it doesn't look pretty Their solution - cover it all up with even more useless junk No need to think about functional design, reorganization, effective cable management, smart use of space etc. Dumbest reorganization I've seen to date!
