There's probably about an order of magnitude difference b/w your average 6 and 9 year olds: K-G1 vs. G3-4. Some 6 year olds haven't learned reading, while some 9 year olds stay home alone. Though the quote was funny; he probably should've said 5 year old.

One time when I was in middle school a long time ago my class went to a nature reserve where My friend Josh and I had to search the reserve for little markers to stamp a card they were on a map anyway it isn’t important after we split up we went to find them and we found some we were deep in a bush/forest when we saw a shelter built out of wood and it was perfect like somebody who was trained to make these made it it only would need like a blanket on it and somebody could live in it then behinds it there was another except it was perfect it was like covers in leaves Josh and I went up to it where a grocery bag was hanging from it we looked inside and it had firewood in it Josh went inside but I was to scared he said it was empty except for some leaves that looked like a bed in this clearing to wind sounded like whispering we left that area and found some really odd graffiti three horizontal 420 symbols a heart shape with some kind of code and two swirls that looked like jigsaws cheeks we left that area never going back we speculate somebody was living there they were obviously goood at surviving
