Bertram - Craft and Wilderness

3 days alone on an uninhabited island in Denmark. Open the full video description for more information.
_________________
Location: Denmark - previous viking country. Lot of small sea, Islands and hardwood forrest. A lot of people in Denmark so limited how remote it gets. A lot of birds and deer. No bears or anything else dangerous for campers. If you want to do the same in Denmark do you need to be the owner or get the owners permission or only use the public camping areas.
_________________
Consuming: Water, chaga tea, larch tea and blackthorn berries juice/tea. Bread, tomato, onion, cheese. Cow. Wood ears.
_________________
Most asked questions:
1. Isn't you too close to the water?
No. The seaweed line tells you how high the water usually comes in storms. If you stay above that line and no unusually storms are coming, will you be just fine. This is just a relative small sea.
2. Why not make camp inside the forrest that provides more shelter?
I usually do - but I wanted this kind of view for a change.
3. Is it safe to light a fire inside the tent?
Yes. The tent is far from air tight and this type of tent (lavvu) is made for using open fire or wood stove inside.
4. How did you get to the island?
Just hiking in the sea doing low tide, about one hour hiking (you see it breathily in the beginning of the video).

Some of the gear used in the video:
1. Sweater = unknown.
2. waffle iron = unknown.
3. Pants = made by "Ridgeline"
4. Tent = made by "Tschum" 2p soswa
5. Boots = made by "Redback" original boots
6. Backpack = made by "Fjallraven" Kajka 65L
7. Sharpening stone = made by "Gransfors Bruks"
8. pot = made by "Pathfinder" bushpot 2 liters.
9. Gaiters = homemade

I'm a nurse and watching this before bed. (i'm also staying in at the hospital i'm working in). Oh how i'd like to just quit my job, buy a small piece of land in the mountains, far from civilization, plant a self sustaining garden as food source. And live my life in peace and quiet, away from all that stress and drama.

Mate, I really liked your video so at peace with all things natural, it took me back to when we were kids up at the farm, on the school holidays we would take our gear and hike up the mountain for 4-5 Klms and camp for a week or so. Here in Australia we didn't have big animals to contend with, mainly dingoes ( they were quite timid, they would have a go at you if there were 10 or so of them.) Snake were the main ones you'd have to contend with, most time if you kept an eye out for them, they were OK. Most times we always carried a .22 cal rifle ( they called a pea rifle, I really don't know why, maybe because the slug size was the same as a pea). We camped beside a mountain stream, always fresh beautiful clean water. We virtually lived of the land only ate what we caught ( shot nothing to eat, mainly protection ). The creeks provided us with blue mountain yabbies, the trees had Wonga pigeons, beautiful cooked in clay( an old Aboriginal trick that they taught my brother and I ). If we got desperate for food we put snares up along a Kangaroo/Wallaby trail and had fresh meat for days. I could go on forever, thanks to the above video for bringing back old memories.

So peaceful, mate! Just, perfect that landscape, the sound of sea, these greenless vegetation. Fells like the old vikings, but without the sacrifices and looting. Lol. Simply love it, keep it up! 👏👏👏👏
