Bushcraft is a skillset. It's not mandatory as a bushcrafter to go naked to the woods and trying to survive. To do that every week is a unrealistic fantasy. The way I see it, bushcraft skills make hiking and camping more efficient, lightweight and interesting... and not to forget FUN!.

The reason why I like this channel and this guy, is probably because he doesn’t talk, he is so quite in such a quite place which takes me there.

Most excellent. 66 years doing this in Canada and I never thought to just use the folding steamer as a fire box / platform for wet winter fires. Excellent idea!... cheap, easy, light, perfect! I've also learned the benefits of a really big tarp... forget the minimalist 5x7 stuff... go with 12x12 !

This is my favorite yet of your productions. The minimalist philosophy you use as you interact with the wildlands of your beautiful country is pure art. You show such respect for the land and everything has a purpose with utmost efficiency! The food you prepare is similar - what perfection in purpose and form. You are also an awesome musician. Some people tell me my videos move too fast and that I explain things too often. Next time you do those potatoes. Grab the grated potatoes in your hand and squeeze as much water out as you can. Or wrap in a cloth and twist. They crisp up nicer. Awesome video!

Nice space to pick & pitch your tent, so quiet & just perfect for nice peaceful time out. Love the cooked stuffed pepper I swear I could've smelt it from here. Next meal - lunch ? nice. Many times the next camp site looked like an ancient forest, dark & foreboding. but turned out picture perfect as far as the snow falling. Roast Beef with onion n potato to end a wet days work.

Another great film. Northern climates are great for camping but in a survival situation you’d have to be able to fish or hunt game to survive. Foraging ain’t going to cut it.
