A lot of animals have been killed at different times in history, so it is really hard for me to believe that there are still any big dinosaurs that could be alive today.

I don't think there are any left, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out there were dinosaurs still living in the 18th and 19th centuries. People have been responsible for so many animals going extinct that it would make sense thst we killed the dinosaurs, whether for sport or to protect people or livestock.

I like your approach to cryptozoology, still analyzing it but with a logical and critical mind. I personally believe these sightseeings are animals like rheas, monitor lizards and rhinoceros like you said. I am very skeptical of dino-cryptids.

I LOVE cryptozoology! Both for the folklore aspect, but especially the aspect of species that reasonably COULD be out there but not adequately documented. There was a good while of my childhood that I was strongly considering pursuing a career in cryptozoology as someone who sought out animals that were fairly well known by witness accounts, but never fully documented and described enough to be recognised as real, living species. Be it a type of skink or newt, a bird, fish, or wild cat, I just think it would be super cool to be the first person to take usable photographs, recordings of calls, fur or scat samples, possibly even catch one to measure and take samples enough from to validate its existence before releasing it once more. The satisfaction of knowing that these creatures really do exist would be immense, and the ability to let all who have seen them know that they are now fully believed in telling the truth would be rewarding beyond words.

Figures a T rex would live in Australia. Everything pretty much there is poisonous or deadly to people. Might have emu bodyguards, or the Aboriginal people portal them in and out. The large mountains would hide a lot of critters during the heat of the day. Would have to check to see if the land is hard, like made of granite or something that wouldn't vibrate like the Jurassic Park dude. Unless there are tremors that they think are from a dormant volcano that are actually living creatures (which would be awesome). With the ice caps melting, I'm sure we will see a lot of creatures that haven't been around in a while (bacteria and amoebas mostly, they should cause lots of disease and panic).

Honestly I would not be surprised if some small kind of dinosaur similar to microraptor or anchiornis still lived on some island or large in a llarge rainforest but went extinct because of human activities.

I know all species of dinosaurs, well some, it could be 2 species, unknown animals, 1. It could be new rhino species or extinct rhino species and other one is rhino like, like emela-ntouka it could be centrosaurus or probably be sinoceratops. raptor at chile, could be a utahraptor or unknown species of raptor and burunjor at Australia, there is no t-rex in Australia, my dinosaur fact is, it could be Agrosaurus or Walgettosuchus. I like your videos, and I like to see more of cryptid dinosaurs.

The chile Therapod seems to a description of a Megaraptoran, these animals were large, fast, had three toes and were successful in South America in the end of the Cretaceous, and might've had feathers and scales just as the descriptions describe the animal, if these reports arent bs (which I wouldn't be surprised if they are), it's most definitely a Megaraptoran. This can also go for the Australian Therapod, since they were successful there too. Although these probably all are just hoaxes.

You got one thing wrong in this video, the crocodile monitor is actually recorded as the longest species of monitor lizard, however the Komodo is still the largest by mass! It's just like how the reticulated python is the longest snake but anacondas are larger by total mass 💯

My thoughts on the Arica Monster: It's really funny that that one comment claims they are Rhea that are part of Jack Horner's reverse dinosaur project, all I ever heard from that project was they made some chicken grow some teeth. It seems pretty obvious that it's just people not knowing what a Rhea is, but an unknown species of kangaroo related marsupial seems like the second most plausible answer, since marsupials originally evolved in the super continent made up of South America, Antarctica, and Australia (Though I don't know the evolutionary history of kangaroos, maybe they didn't evolve from more basal marsupials until they were in Australia exclusively.) The idea that it could be a therapod dinosaur is the least likely explanation, though I would love to see a deep dive on the plausibility of a dinosaur being able to live in any of the ecosystem that currently exist on earth, I don't know if I've ever seen that approach taken before, at least not at that scale (it's pretty easy to disprove Nessie just by looking at the size of Loch Ness, it's way too small of an ecosystem to support that kind of animal)

The bears in the woods behind my house have evolved thumblike appendages and entered the bronze age. Completely skipped the stone age. One of the bear people told me they'll take a sword over a spear any day. I felt that was an appropriate stance on the situation and immediately fled for my life. Not completely overcoming their predatory instincts the bear chief followed suit. Luckily they're not used to bipedal sprinting and i was able to evade capture. He WILL be hearing from my lawyer! Other than that mishap it was quite the amazing getaway. You guys should check it out when you get the chance.

Nice channel However, given that I am actually a scientist, I have to correct a comment you made. Any subject of study qualifies as a science if its methodology adheres to The Scientific Method¹. That includes so-called Cryptozoology. Here's an example So, would you say that prior to 1938, study of the Coelacanth as a living species was a pseudoscience, whereas post 1938, it became a science because a living specimen was discovered in the wild? My point is that one must be extremely careful to apply definitions correctly. I have an extreme appreciation of the importance of this notion since I am a mathematician² 1. Please note that I am asserting that The Scientific Method is a sufficient condition to determine status as a science, but I am not asserting it is necessary 2. What? Isn't it possible for someone to be a mathematician _and_ a chemist... _and_ a physicist?
@all.about.nature1987

Hey, thanks for your response. I also have a bachelor of science, majoring in Biology, though I don't currently work in any scientific field. I completely agree with you that, in some cases, what we call cryptozoology, is in fact a real science, because, as you said, the processes used in the study adhere to the scientific method. The example you gave is an example. But the majority of the scientific community agrees that most cryptozoology today (dinosaurs, Big Foot, the Chupacabra) is done while completely ignoring the scientific method. Your example was of people finding evidence (a fish in a market) and then drawing scientific conclusions based on evidence. But people weren't going around before they found a coelacanth saying "They're still out there, we have no evidence, but someone once said they saw one." So I believe there are two distinct realities within the cryptozoological world. One is a real scientific method based on evidence (gorillas, okapis, giant squid), and the other is, in fact, a pseudoscience, often pushed by people with the motivation to find evidence that confirms a bias (for example, people who believe that dinosaurs are still alive today are far more likely to be Christians who like the idea of living dinosaurs because it fulfills their "young earth" religious beliefs.) Over the last couple of decades, several academic publications have printed opinion pieces discussing the legitimacy of Cryptozoology as a science (Problematic Wildlife, 2015, Columbia University Press, 2013), and most draw the conclusion that generally, the science as a whole is a pseudoscience.
