I like how these security guards always first think that the stranger occurrences must be theives. If it was me I’d been running out of there calling out ghosts 😂

I worked Mall Security for 2 and a half years. Every Guard swears the mall was haunted. Nightly I'd hear foot steps in the back hallways and several creepy encounters, it scared the shit out of me.

One of the creepiest encounters I’ve ever had happened in a mall. I was 16 at the time, and was working part time at a cafe in the mall, and had to go in around 7pm for a meeting with the manager. The mall closed at 8pm that night, so it was pretty quiet at this point. I got to the mall about 20 minutes early, so I went for a walk to the toilets on the other end to kill some time. When I entered the cubicle I heard the door next to mine close a few seconds later, and I thought nothing of it. When I had finished I left to wash my hands, and as I was walking to the sink I heard the cubicle door next to me open, still thinking nothing of it. I was washing my hands and the person walked to the sink and began washing theirs. I took a glance up to the mirror and saw a creepy looking bald man who looked to be in his early 40s, staring at me in the mirror. I looked down and continued washing my hands, and when I looked up again, he was still washing his, staring right into my eyes without blinking. I thought the guy looked sketchy and was creeped out when I was walking out of the toilets. Sure enough, when I left, so did he. As I was walking in the mall, I could see from the corner of my eye he was walking behind me, but I couldn’t be sure he was necessarily following me. To test if he was, I decided that I would walk for a while and go into a store and pretend I was browsing, to see if he stopped, or continued walking on. I chose a glasses store, as it would be unlikely that the person walking behind me would just happen to be shopping for some glasses. When I was in the store, after about 30 seconds, I looked out the store window, and there he was, stood still, around 10m from the store, staring at me. At this point, this confirmed he was following me. I left the store and began quickly walking to get away from him. As I was walking I glanced around a few times and I couldn’t see him. I walked for about 3 minutes until I was at the other end of the mall. I then went up the escalator, and when I got to the top, I leaned over the barrier and went on my phone. After about 20 seconds, I looked up and to my horror, there he was again. He was leaning over the barrier on the other side of the escalator directly opposite me, staring right at me with a sinister smile. I nervously stared back, and when I gave him a dirty look, he turned around and slowly walked away while quietly laughing to himself. My work meeting was a few minutes from this point, so I walked to the cafe, and I never saw the man again. I remember feeling nervous as I walked through the mall to go home, and still felt I was being watched. I had no idea how long the guy was following me for, and I knew he had sinister intentions, whatever they were. I had been out of the house for hours before I even noticed him, so I have no clue when he started following me, but he must have followed me into the toilet, based on what happened. I took a cab home as I didn’t feel safe walking.

Ah, the infamous airport bathroom tall man. (Reference to another story) love this channel. It actually relaxes me to listen to these stories.

The scariest true story for me was hearing a gunshot late at night at Destiny USA mall in NY. Didn’t know at the time it was a gunshot but the next day apparently a mother was shot dead and her adopted daughter was kidnapped and missing. I believe the daughter was found dead but to see it on the news was pretty terrifying.

I once silently passed gas in the mall. The people around the area were horrified and TRULY disturbed.

my heart skipped a beat at the image of the man peering over the stall, the toilets where I work also have sensors to automatically flush when you stand up or even move. One time I was in there alone and the toilet two stalls down flushed by itself which creeped me out. After seeing this I will be mortified if it happens again.
