THX SO VERY MUCH! I’m new to it ALL…(though I’ve played around with the Djay app and a cheap Hercules controller for a month)…but watching this video helped answer soooo many questions I had. I just learned the software is key…so I researched, then downloaded Serato DJ Pro tonight. I was very curious about stems because I really wanna do mashups, and create clean sounding instrumentals, and vocals. And your video just taught me about moving the beat to the song you’re transitioning to, in the next deck…wow. This is a new hobby, but I’m loving it! You’ve def got a new subscriber in ME!

Just joined the beta and yes this is by far better than VDJs version. Even as the Beta, my laptop is nothing special and it has worked so well so far. The stem pad feature is way too good and fun to use. Everything I hoped Serato would do and more.

Gonna be a game changer for real!!!!! Especially if once you drop a part you can’t hear the other parts in the background, as if it’s coming from the next room over! (If that makes sense😆🎶🎵👊🏾) Over all an excellent video sir👊🏾‼️

Can you route the stem buttons to different outputs? Even with a separate audio interface or something? This way we can rout each button to different speakers. Making something similar to Atmos but for live DJ events

Great video. Its cool to see AI based technology merging with DJ software.The only issue I think I foresee is with the blending example you give. I'm with Mojaxx on that one, where filters and EQ are going to give you a consistant predictable response across songs. Using Stems seems easier in the moment but a lot more work on the front end. Prepping and choosing your tracks that sound best chopped up this way sounds essential. Splitting up the song into stems as your spinning the night (especially if busy and potentially intoxicated) sounds like a recipe for disaster. I am also curious on how this will actually impact edit culture. I would imagine this tech would have no problem on modern music that was produced solely through a computer synthetically. So conceivably, some types of edits may go extinct. Which to me is kinda sad considering folks were just being able to get their edits cleared to make money from them.

I checked - everything is clean

I tried this stems in Serato DJ Pro and it is not performing the way it is advertised. When I click any button to cut out the vocals, bass, or drums there is no separation. The only thing that happens is the entire track is muted

Nice setup 👍👍👍👍👍 I have the same setup at home. Now the big question, does this work with streaming service like Tidal and Beatsource ? And using the Denon SC5000's in computer mode for serato, will the pads on the decks respond like the pads on the Rane 70 and Rane 72 ? @PDot At 7:38 you said you can take that mashup you did and blend something else in but how do you do that with a 2 channel mixer when both decks are loaded up and playing? It seems to me that stems almost require 4 channels to really take advantage of.

I just bought a rane 70. it comes with DJ Pro. What is the right way to upgrade to stems. Is it a full on 3.0 purchase?

do you know a mixer 4 channels that can go with 2 SC6000M (4 decks) and that can play 3.0 serato stems??

Yeah it’s pretty cool but you can’t automatically use it for all your songs you have to drag what songs you want to use it on into the stems folder & the more songs you drag in the more processor heavy it becomes but we’ll see what the final version will do!

Looks like the four options are only available when using hardware if you are only using either lite or pro, there are only two options, vocals and "melody" or maybe I havent been able to set it up the right way

Cant serato remove the AVX CPU need it? My brand new laptop cpu not support AVX on funny way my 10 year old laptop does have AVX cpu.....

I’ve updated serato, but I don’t see in settings an option that says “replace pad with stems” how do I actually activate them?

Is your stems hooked into your loop? Or is there a way to use the midi section for stems on the 72?

great tutorial, but as a rekordbox user i can say rekorbox is far more advanced than serato, why i have to disconnect the controller to be able to analyze tracks?why theres no keyboard key commands like rb to be able to setup the grid while playing the song..?or am I missing something..? regards
