Over the 5 years, I attended every weekend.
Mostly Friday, Saturday, Sunday 52 weeks of the
year. It wasn't just Wigan I'd go anywhere but new
municipal buildings. Even thou a good atmosphere
nowhere had a dancefloor equal to Wigan Casino's
Maplewood. Had some great nights in St Ives oldies
room. It was as black as a Coalmans coat which gave
it. A certain sense of seclusion and happiness. But a
concrete floor same as Yate. Bland featureless venue
that I mostly avoided. The Ritz resembled dancing on
a surfboard but it was wood. The Twisted Wheel was
wooden blocks. The Locarno had the slippiest dancefloor
but barred me for lying near it. Very little sense of body
expression in Birmingham. That's this weeks story of a
misspent teenage life. If I could relive the time it would
be exactly the same. With minor deviation today's tracks
