Unicorn Overlord has an abundance of Units and Class Types to Recruit and Experiment with. These teams are kinda weird, but have cores that can be built early on and can be upgraded throughout your playthrough to the final form you see in this video! Some teams are much more frontloaded than others, while some other teams are centered around a specific theme or playstyle, Making use of some of Unicorn Overlord's Best Unique Units.
All teams are analyzed with Expert mode in mind

07:17 Team 2 - Hammer Time (Nina + Gilbert Core)
08:57 Team 3 - Fire & Ice Counterstrike (Front Row Yunifi Core)
The video will cover relevant tactics, items, equipment, accessories, and the thought process behind each choice! AP & PP requirements will be mentioned when they arise. 2AP + 2PP is usually fine, with more AP & PP giving you more consistency and action economy.

Those are some interesting setups. For Hilda's last Diving Thrust, you might want to change lowest % HP to just lowest HP. This way you are hitting the weakest target. If someone was 20hp full health and 35 hp 85% health, you are attacking the 35 HP enemy instead of the 20 hp enemy. For Primm, unless you are solely using Active Heal on her, you would want to move Sacred Heal to slot 1. With the current setup, she'll never check for debuffed allies because Active Heal will trigger unless the frontline is dead. With Liza, Heavy Bolt will never fire since Spiked Bolt is using 2 priority conditions which will never fail. If you are down to 1 AP, then you'd be going from Spiked Bolt to Toxic or Power Bolt. For Yunifi's Sonic Shaft, wouldn't it be better to set the 1 skill to just target Flyers since you are looking for them to be present anyway. Then if there are no flyers, you would activate the 2nd Sonic Shaft which prioritized backrow and initiative. Also, that 2nd Sonic Shaft would override initiative instead of backrow based on the current setup, since the 2nd priority re-adjusts the list and you might end up targeting someone in the front row instead of back row.

I will have to bookmark and use all your builds later on when I reach Rank A/Level 40. Right now I just got Rank B not that long ago and promoted a ton of units and am still not even Level 20 yet.

I've been doing this the same way. I've been looking at other people with team comps seeing why their team comp works and then tweaking it to fit my play style so I can use it whenever. And right now I have like three units of formations I can put out on a field and pretty much dominate the whole map. But I'm still in the first area. I just got Scarlet back so I don't know if the game is going to get dressed drastically harder but I only have four squads. One of them is kind of like a squad that hangs back and defends the main base or whatever and the rest I can sweep the whole map with. Like that's how powerful they are because of the synergies I'm using and I I'm interested in what I'm going to do once I increase it to five units per squad. But I'm thinking for some of them I can just slap a healer in there so they can sustain because that's their only weakness is. If anyone does successfully get past my front line, I would have to start using items to heal and stuff, but luckily I haven't run into that issue yet. My front line is very good. I have both block tanks and Dodge tanks in some of my formations and they are practically immortal

I started using these advanced strategies to create invincible teams and at level 19 I have completely broken the game. It loses its fun. Don’t do it!

You can set Conditions on your Hastened Cover. If you're not using that Feathershield, you can just set the condition to Flying. Or, if you have multiple flying units, you can set the Condition to Front Row and position Hilda directly in front of the Shieldshooter.

Been awhile but I used lord, colosseum lady, lion man, yahna and elf mage. Names seem to be a massive issue but it's all there. They were capable of one shooting alot of teams

Good morning, I have a conflict in the "Hammer Time" team. I have plenty of space for Rosalinde and she is in Virginia's composition from the previous video (Very good composition by the way) and it is the same case with Eltolinde. Is there any other character that I can replace her with?

There's a same turn glacial rain build for Yunifi, I made with the Celestial accessory, all you need is support to increase your accuracy to ensure hit, and maybe extra buffs for increase damage/crit. but yeah it's sick, I have her owl mommy in team to provide those needed buffs since that's all owls do.

Why not just Quick Impetus? Quick Impetus Glacial Rain is pretty standard. I would say the only "spice" really is adding start of battle buffs (like initiative, or to counter stuff like angel blind). I personally also throw in a Feathershield, as just about the only thing ive lost to in coliseum is quickened trinity rain.

@@taznkid1730 because quick impetus requires one unit slot dedicated just for that buff, when it can be doing other things. but like with everything, you can set it up however feels best to you. I just like the idea of being self-sufficient.

@@takarahayashi4124 I can respect it. Personally, I think Yunifi's AP/PP use are amazing such that I do not want to trade off for the downsides of Celestial, as well as the accessory slot that could be used to buff her up more (especially initiative). It works for me, as I have Scarlett as the Impetus bot; her class PP abilities are fairly mid (outside from the party buff, but I already use Alain's or Eltolinde's in same unit) while her AP abilities are great, so dumping her PP into Impetus then just using AP is fine there. Another approach is using something like a Legionnaire or Feathershield, which can Impetus, then just regen the PP back, so you lose almost nothing.

@@taznkid1730 however you want to do it, she'll have 3 AP with the setup i have, so after Glacial Rain, she'll have another follow up shot to take out anyone that is standing. So my team comp setup doesn't require anything more.

question: with the existence of items that negate blinds, like the lampliht ring you showed, how would fare a team like the front row yunifi that relies on blinds to cover its weakness? would it be able to perform well?

That's a hard one. In pvp Frontline yunifi is too much of a risk IMHO. She is frail and requires too much stats investment to Frontline. That and her offensive toolkit and follow up attacks are so good making her damage is probably the most effectiveness way go go. In pve she is great no matter which route one chooses to go

What can I use in place of frostbrands tome? It's already being used by Auch in 1 of the other teams you suggested published 3 days before this video. Im trying bloodbrand tome for now (sanguine referall) .... also team 2 and 3 of this video isn't even usable while using the teams from your 1st video... there's over 70 unique and dozens of gear yet you keep reusing both.

there is a 2nd frostbrand tome in bastorias. If not just use thunderbrand tome since it does the same thing which is to cc.

Out of curiosity your "Hammer Time" squad would Eltolinde be a decent substitute for Rosalinde? If so how would you go back setting up her tactics?

Yeah! Elemental roar being exclusive to both of em makes them swappable

Rosalinde is better for those comps cause her abilities are more aggressive and damage focused while Eltolinde is support and healing focused, like Rosalinde has rage of the fairies for a row stun and Eltolinde has boon of the fairies which hakes a row of your allies asn makes them immune to the first debuff to hit them

Not sure if it's a mistranslation but sacral means related to your sacrum or the bone in your butt. So it's a butt bow???

Sacral comes from another language (forgot which one), but it means "holy"

A team i have going that i really like is my debuff team with Berengaria and Gloucester on the front line and Liza Selvie Govil on the backline I also have my Alain team with Alain + Renault frontline and Yahna Chloe Eltolinde backline My 3rd team is Monica Yunifi Virginia frontline with Rosalinde and Railanor backline

@@jake53105 so he does follow up attacks after berengaria or liza but he buffs liza aswell and he can do decent damage with his row attack or decimate

@@naus6081 i actually just beat the game and made a thrown together unit with him i put him and amalia on frontline with dinah raenys and primm on the backline, hope this gives some inspiration!
