@justme240 Ignorant to think humanity was better "back then." People from mlong ago spent a very large major of their life looking for food for daily living and trying to save for the winter. They would ALWAYS starve in the winter; discuss disease, child mortality, mothers dying in child birth, thinking the weather was an angry God. Have you ever gone one day without enough food and water? Humanity is amazing and the progress its made makes us more powerful and capable than any God from "back then." I'm sorry, sir, but your ignorance is ridiculous

I am a Irish/French American, but when I first heard this music I felt it to my core with every sense awake and tingling, it was then followed by an intense feeling that I was an ancestor of the great Vikings. As far as heritage I only know what my family has told me . My grandparents on both sides moved here 150 years ago and I dont know much beyond that. I feel like there is so much more history lost to me. Through I feel this in my gut and I plan to do a DNA test to see if there is any truth to what I feel .

Is it really so strange that every culture throughout history has its own music? It's what ties humankind together.
@alganhar1
@alganhar1 2 жыл бұрын
Erm, no, it is not really strange. What IS strange is people claiming certain genres. For example. 'Celtic' music. Now I am classified as one, I am a native Welsh speaker, but what the fuck is 'Celtic' music? Mostly |I hear Celtic 'inspired' music, but inspired in the same way as the modern Druidism... in that its kinda very loosely based on generally Irish folk music. Ignores stuff like Dacw nghariad, Hela'r Dryw, and almost the entirety of the Welsh (Cymraig) cultural aspect. I guess its because the Irish are simply better at selling themselves....... So, here is some actual 'Celtic' music you have probably never heard. Hela'r Dryw, the hunting of the wren. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j9R7eJCUu6nWpGw.html

@SugaryStarzie Жыл бұрын
@@alganhar1 this is more norse inspired than Celtic? And they're similar cultures that interacted throughout history. We are all one spiderweb of people, groups, cultures, ect. It's not really claiming, it's just a sense of identity. It's music that correlates to old norse cultures, that all

Lol, always amusing when you're listening to a multi-hour track, and 2 hours 25 minutes in, you suddenly realize, "Wait a minute, they're speaking Icelandic, I understand exactly what they're saying!" ;) (for anyone who's curious: "Frumstæð orka, fyrir mér" -> Primitive energy, for me"). Though now you suddenly got me thinking. My instinct here is "fyrir mig", but then again, I can think of tons of examples where one says "fyrir mér" (for example, "nú mega jólin koma fyrir mér!"), and now I'm starting to wonder whether it's grammatically correct (identical meaning or subtle difference), or just þágufallssýki...

interesting music, seems to transcend cultures. Norse happens to be my own, but I hear native American in it and I see others from around the world relate. Gorgeous, lush, transporting. wonderful. Keep up the good work.

100 percent because the olde world was far closer to its Asian roots than it is today. The white man is a branch off the Asian tree which is why these old ways can be detected in the Mongollic races . Siberia , north America, central Asia, Persia, North India and the westwarders - Europeans are all linked though racists try hard to deny those common origins

For a few years, the Vikings and native tribes interacted in Vinland(what is most likely modern day Newfoundland Canada) One thing people learned is their cultures were surprisingly similar, especially for two groups of people thousands of miles apart, and who hadn't interacted with each other in over a thousand years. I guess as humans we are more similar than we think

Love Love Love !!! Thank you Munknörr. This music calls to my Nordic and Pagan ancestory. I absolutely love the chanting and heavy drumming and the combination of African American, Nordic and Celtic sound is brilliantly done, it blends and flows so effortlessly. This is what Mother Earth sounds like. I will definitely be playing this with my next Shamanic Journey and my daily sunset rituals 💚💚

Being Norwegian/Gaelic Scottish this is the most uplifting music. Music from of our ancestors. My father has always taught me "Never forget where you come from and what your blood is rich for. More precious than gold itself." Rest heavenly father.

Ostara is definitely my favorite, though all the songs are mysterious, powerful and magic, talking forgotten memories to our cells, bones, and the ancient roots of our souls. Properly shamanic. Thank you so, so much for sharing your art, making it possible for us to travel far and deep _/|\_
