Legitimately. I can't even begin to count how many times over the past decade these calming, relaxing nintendo mixes helped me. Reducing anxiety, helping focus, relaxing to drift to sleep a little easier when insomnia hits. Seriously great stuff.

@@ultimate8125 If it isn't, it could become one. Words evolve. There's an entire study devoted to the evolution of language: philology. J.R.R Tolkein, of "Lord of the Rings" fame, was a philologist by profession, and it's also worth noting that the insistence that words and phrases necessarily be used in the ways in which their originators intended is a fallacy. Of course, by that same token, we could say the same thing but substitute the word hero out for the "n" word, and in so doing, everybody on this thread who agrees with the aforementioned sentiment would suddenly draw back in horror. This beggars explanation. The horrors black people the world over have faced and still face are obvious, and so we balk at any suggestion that we evolve, instead of simply eliminate, language that for generations was intended to dismiss and belittle them. Well, I would argue we should do the same thing for women. Humans have a tendency- I don't know whether it's biologically evolved or culturally induced- to use masculine identifiers in situations in which the gender of the person being spoken about is unknown. As a woman, this would be aggrevating, and I think we owe it to our women to, after literally a million years give or take, finally fucking say, "sure...we'll start using feminine identifiers where we know women are being spoken about, and we'll start using both masculine and feminine identifiers when the gender of the subject is unknown." I think that would probably be a kind thing to finally do, don't you? Language evolves, sure- as I just described, but you know what? Culture evolves too. Time to evolve, my friend.

This made me cry. The wii weather music made me think back to my childhood where I would just explore the menu hearing the music as I looked at the weather. I wish I could have those days back when everything felt so simple and life seemed grandiose. Thanks for making this video.

I knew I couldn't be the only person who's felt this way recently! I felt that way especially with Resident Evil 4. The entire soundtrack and the menu sounds feel like things I should've grown up hearing but I was stubborn because I liked the older style and the demo for 4 when i was a kid was too hard lol. I played and beat it 5 years ago finally and was like wow, i really missed out with this game! It is strange though that you play a game in your 30s and realize you could've lived years knowing songs or vibes and had memories with those but you didn't have a specific console or didn't like rpgs at that point.

ive been a nintendo guy for basically my entire life. i grew up play on my parents wii and on my DS. listening to these tracks while studying or working always helps me calm down and focus. even though todays nintendo is a shitty company, you can never go wrong with their soundtracks. absolute nostalgia

I acquired a love for this kind of Nintendo music ever since I played super Mario n64 as a kid and swam under water outside of peach’s castle the shipwreck level too, it fills Me with a comforting nostalgia for My troubles. Nintendo has my sincerest gratitude along with orbit for putting this together🖤

This is an amazing playlist! I love all the soundtracks from various games that brought back nostalgia such as SMG2, but I have to ask, how in the world did Mall classify as a Nintendo soundtrack? I am aware that Minecraft got ported onto the Nintendo Switch and all that, but still, it's not necessarily Nintendo's song. All in all I loved this! I just wanted to point that out!
