I don't get why they had to move to the agitub design. If they wanted to get rid of the direct drive, why not just move to the modern belt-driven setup with a splutch to allow the agitator to move independently of the tub. This wash action sucks and seems like it i really hard on the motor.

@@MrKevosminThe cleaning is not even. The TC5 would have turned this load over multiple times. Frigidaire tried this about a decade ago and it was a fail.

I think I get what they were going for with this washer. A laminar rush of water which brakes and becomes a turbulent flow, coupled with light abrasion of items rubbing against each other. Can someone explain the physics of how turnover cleans? I understand what it is but I’m struggling understanding how it leads to cleaning performance

This washing machine is pretty good for delicate clothes but not for normal clothes. (For normal clothes, I would use heavy duty)

Are they really still making these? First, I don't know how they could even put this product out there, but after seeing all the bad reviews back in like 2017, you'd think they'd get smart. It's 7 years later now... people are buying this?

Throw a fresh dog turd into the wash cycle of a TR series and also throw a dog turd into the wash cycle of a TC5. After one rinse cycle for each series, tell me that your preferred model of SQ washers washes better than it's brethren. I bet most of you will lie. TC5 is not a great washer, yet it far out washes its siblings and most of its short-lived competitors.

Keep it in mind that this type of load is an easier load for this machine... anything thicker or stiff may not do as well..

@@One-Day-After-Another Hopefully there will be more videos to come on this machine. I saw a lot of blooming action as well as the water being forced through the cloths as the tub moved. In my personal opinion the washer was overloaded but I was very pleasantly surprised by the wash action I saw.

Compared to virtually all other top load h/e agitub designs, it’s not bad. Like, if you’re looking for an eco machine with a lot of settings, that isn’t horrendous at cleaning cloths, this would be it.
