@@bissell I have a 2005 Bissell cleanview ll special edition it is like brand new. I have a newer power force Bagless and the belt keeps trying to come of the motor shaft and hit the brush roll housing. I might throw it out because I am pretty sure that it can not be fixed. I find that newer vacuums just get crapier and crapier every year even kirby is slowly going down that hole.

Bought one thinking oh well guess this is what they make nowadays to replace my old faithful 1980s Hoover Quikbroom II . Well I still have my Quikbroom II and this was bought as an extra supplement vacuum for quick pick ups around my apartment. It wasnt bad! Actually better than what I was expecting out of it. Still not as powerful as my old Hoover but this Bissell has a brush roll and it really works! They might not make the Hoover or Regina Electrikbrooms of the past anymore! But this isnt bad for what it is and especially for the price if anyones looking for a cheap vacuum to get the job done

You're talking about the hair trapped in between the brush roll and the belt sprocket I presume. That's my problem too. I tried using a sharp knife and tweezers with limited success. I've not tried removing the sprocket to easily remove the hair. But that entails risks of damaging the sprocket and/or the brush roll, and reinserting the sprocket too far or not far enough once you get the hair out. But if you remove the sprocket, it appears (using my imprecise little ruler) the narrower side of the sprocket should be exactly 5 mm away from the end of the shaft. Be sure that the little white washer is inserted between the brush roll and the wider end of the sprocket, BEFORE reinstalling the sprocket, with the wider end first. There's also a white washer on the other end of the brush roll, that needs to be put on before reassembly. Good luck!

To convert into a handheld, push the gray button above the power switch to easily release the wand (after unwinding the cord first), then push the gray button at the back of the floorhead (underneath) to release the floorhead. You will have to pull a little bit to get the floorhead out.

When I push the grey button under the power switch it opens to clean it. There isn’t any button on the back or under the floor head . Can’t take apart to use as a hand held
