I worked for the government in the State Department for criminal justice. I was in the department of probation and we had so many people who were either pedophiles, child molesters, or any kind of sexual assault that involves a child. It was back in the late nineties when we had Mary Kay Letourneau as well as other serious predators. The officer who had to be the probation officer was really good at his job because he had a studder, so that made people feel more comfortable in talking with him about what they were doing and how they were doing it. I can’t believe that it took so long for them to realize that they needed to get involved with the situation because children were being sexually abused. Every single day we had different people who were trying to be sexually involved with a child. Now that technology has exploded we have a big problem that is a serious warning to parents to make sure they check their kids computers and make sure they are safe. 😢
