The "Tesla MTV Unplugged Concert" comment at 10:00 minutes in when you solo'd one mic made me spit out my drink laughing. This was a really helpful video guys. I struggle a lot trying to learn the daunting world of Pro Tools when I record and this gave me some options and simplified a lot of things.

Hey Josh! Big fan of your videos. Can you please make a video on how do you record such crystal clear audio when you're outdoors and explain just the overall process? or probably a video about how good of a recording can you do with like a cheap $20 microphone and how can you get the best out of it? It would be very interesting to see your take on that!

All that equipment? You can do any of these techniques with like $300 total. Edit: Sincerely nothing negative meant here. But all you need to do ALL these techniques are 2 directional mics, a figure 8 mic, and a DI. There are affordable versions of any of those. You probably have most or all of those things.

Should subtitle this one "I actually use dark mode Pro Tools!". I've used these techniques in the past and they're all really sick, although I'll admit the spot mic + di isn't one I've used in quite the same way in the past and that's quite a cool idea. For real though, dark mode pro tools? You're a stronger man than I! Really loved the video. Nice to see someone with your kind of content/audience/expertise create a video that may or may not run the risk of alienating the audience and not treating anybody like a dumb-dumb. Absolutely great work my guy and as always, we love to see it.

You work and work and the results reveal that you have. Still, it isn't ALL about acoustic perfection. I worked in the back hills, no music all one summer other than what I made myself. Finally I was driving a truck that had a super radio and I heard the Animals' Sky Pilot coming in from like a thousand miles away. It was full of static, faded in and out, plus the noise of the truck, but it was just perfect. Sort of like "hunger is the best sauce on any food"
