Practising listening skills can be very difficult if the student doesn´t live in an English speaking country. How can learners improve their listening comprehension? Wow, great to see someone suggesting listening activities, it is so difficult to get my students to practice listening, most of them think that listening to pop music is enough to learn! Thank you for the recommendations!

Hi Mary, thank you so much for all your ideas :) !! I love the creativity, since I´m new to online teaching and found it challenging to make the lessons as interactive as in person! I have a video suggestion: What do you do, when you have to "improvise" a part of the class, may it be due to technological issues, or having gone faster through the material than expected etc. I had a situation, where I couldn´t use all of my prepared material because of technological problems. It was quite challenging to find an alternative, especially because my student was a beginner. Now I always try to have an "anchor" for my classes, so we can´t get lost.

Thanks for the kind comment and I´m glad my content is helping you!!! Whenever I have a problem with my computer, I call my students on Whatsapp so they don´t feel they are missing a part of the class (when the error is quick to solve). Regarding activities going faster than planned, I´ve got many "no-preparation required" activities to make them talk (there are some on my Speaking activities playlist) and I try to be very creative asking open-ended questions that will make them talk non-stop until the class is over lol.
