There’s actually no standard vacation/sick leave in the US. Some states might have their own requirements (e.g. California) but generally the further down the pay scale you go the less likely you are to have any leave. Sick leave is often rolled into your vacation leave so if you get sick, there goes your vacation. Yet another reason why so many people work while sick here.

I love this palette so flippin much. I'm mostly just a lurker and not a commenter but this palette is just such a good stand alone palette and companion palette. Using it with glam, and retro and pastel and biba, the bottom row. It's just so darn pretty!

Glad you enjoyed your vacation ! Most people in the USA have 1 week off in the beginning. Then they earn a week for every year they work. Most cap at 3 weeks off. One of the reasons I became a school teacher. School closes for holidays and summers off.

This palette just feels like a weird release time to me. I’m going to wear it more in the Spring and Summer months. Btw, I live in the United States and some companies don’t give ANY vacation days. Sick days and vacation days get lumped into one pot and are called PTO (Personal Time Off.). It’s awful! Thank you for speaking out about it because it makes a lot of us feel heard.

Yes! I recently searched for this exact video and was surprised not many people had done a rearranged perfect palette. It’s one of the reasons I buy so many Natasha Denona palettes, the customization allows me to make any palette “perfect” :)

I think all 3 looks are stunning. I bought the pallet during the sales so now I have a reference video, thanks!!!! In reference to all the sales, I was overwhelmed so decided to hit Sephora, Ulta, Sydney Grace, Moira, SheGlam, Cliandah, Nomad, and Kaleidos! Did I need any of it, No, No I did not BUT it’s my Christmas and I got my kids their most wanted items for Christmas so yes let the debt hit me in January. 😂😂😂😂😂

I agree with your comments on the mattes. I had previously combined my retro and glam palettes so I had all my leftover shades - I actually took out what I think are the duplicate mattes (the light brown (lucy), light pink (holly) and light green (fringe)) and swapped them for one darker matte from the original retro (amara, deeper red) and two extra metallics (because I prefer those anyway!!!) I think amara actually works really well with the colour story and gives me a bit more depth to play with. I think faye, belle and sage are all light enough I can still blend them as transitions if I want to! I love all three looks you came up with and these are definitely the three main colour stories that I have gravitated towards when playing with this too! I think the green look was my favourite.

I love this palette but can def see why it's not for everyone. I gravitate towards mint greens and pink a lot so for me this is a more refined version of colors that I wear that are usually a lot brighter and neonish. I also got the Sydney grace, in love of mel, bundle and I love having essentially an expansion pack of colors that I can use together lol💚💜💙

Love the first look, it’s the best pink look adding that deeper shade from Retro was such a good call. I tried a look similar to the second and it didn’t go so well, my skin is more muted olive despite being a similar depth/fairness as you, these tones totally look “off”and seem to muddy & compete with the green/grey in my skin. I need a white base underneath to really make these look right, the white base helped drastically! Loved the 3rd look as well, that light minty green shade palladium ( or whatever it’s called) is one of my favs in this palette. Thank you for being so open with your hair loss. I love how you’ve styled this! I struggle with getting the hairline to blend/look natural, so a style that disguises the lace is exactly what I need to try ❤

Thank you for 3 very pretty looks Martina. I'm loving them all, but fav is 3. I almost pulled the trigger at the Sephora sale over the weekend, but I've decided to wait, there's no hurry as I ordered the Sydney Grace bundle. It won't ship until December but it might be enough as I have Lisa Eldridge coming as well.

All the looks were beautiful but my faves were the 1st and 3rd looks! I'm def going to have to pull some deeper shades from some of her other palettes, just as you did, to suit my aesthetic and skintone since I'm a light medium skintone. My tan is slowly fading. But it def needs a deep brown matte and even a deeper green or burgundy shade to add more depth. I'm gna rearrange mine to what I feel is Retro Glam for me and post on my IG this week! It will be fun for sure! Also, it sux that we only get 10 days vacation here in the states and depending on how long you have been at your job you earn more for years of service. Trust me, it goes so fast especially when u are only given 3 to 5 sick days so I always end up using my vacation when either me or my kids got sick. Other than that it's leave without pay. Yeah, I don't know how we do it either. Luckily I'm on long term disability due to my back surgeries I've had and another upcoming cervical disc fusion nxt year I'm not too worried at the moment. But when I go back.... ugghh

I'm still planning on purchasing this palette in future, after I've recovered from these Sales. I need these types of muted green shades to be slightly lighter like this as these colours tend to show darker on my skin tone from other palettes. Don't forget to take a last look at Sephora today, as they have sliced the prices of certain items randomly. For any of your friends, the Pat McGrath Mothership III in Subversive is only $105.00! I've finally broken my Mothership drought and bought my first one. Natasha Denona has some reductions also. in Canada, most jobs start with 2-3 weeks vacay (10-15 business days). Bigger companies have an increase depending on your years working with them. On mine, you can get up to 7 weeks if you have many years in the house (dont remember exactly but something like 15+). You can accumulate some of the days and roll into the next year but must be used by the end of the first trimester. In Brazil, is standard 30 days (straight) of vacay no matter the amount of working time within the company but you can "accumulate" to just before 2 years of working to take more time (lets say, you work 22 months and take your first 30 days followed by some more for the second year's worth vacay time). By law, you must use your vacay before that second year mark.

I think the whole vacation thing depends on the field you’re in if you’re working in a less professional type of atmosphere most likely you’re not gonna have as much time off but for fields like Engineers and corporate jobs, you start off with three weeks of personal time, and then, every five years it goes up I had four weeks I know my mom has five or six weeks I mean eventually obviously you call out but I’m pretty sure my mom has at least five maybe six weeks I think I had one job where we only got two weeks but then we had unlimited sick days, so it kind of balanced out but two weeks is absolutely not enough Three weeks was definitely not enough either I was always negative 😂😂

I know this is kind of weird and backwards, but because there were so many sales, it literally made me not shop. I only picked up things that I needed use up and reuse all the time if they were on 50% off the only thing that I splurged on was the lethal make your own palette and that was mainly because you told me that they restocked the colors I guess technically Huda but again it’s things that I use up all the time like eyebrow, pencils and face wash.

😂 we don’t get two weeks leave in America. I have a graduate degree and I have zero sick or vacation days, if I have to miss work then I don’t get paid. Although, to be fair, I am in a weird position in that I have a law degree but I haven’t passed the bar exam yet, so I am working as a law clerk (paid hourly) instead of as a lawyer (with a salary).

Ohhh ok, that's like our casual workers over here. If they take a sick or vacation day they don't paid either but they normally get a higher hourly rate to kind of cover it 💗💗

I can’t speak for everyone in the US, but my suspicion is that most of us survive having such few days off by being on prescription pills, alcoholism, or having their own hustle/business where they can be a bit more flexible.

And omg. I’ve never had a job that gave any time off. Two weeks is only for people with white collar jobs or labor unions. Retail, bar industry, paid time off does not exist. No healthcare and no sick time either!

This is not a favorite palette in the beauty space. This palette reminds of the Zendo palette. Many people didn’t like that one, either. I like the mattes of this palette for the color story. Those pukey green taupes are so my jam. I am a light medium olive right now that it is November. This palette is great for my no makeup looks. It can give me a few glam looks, though. I typically pull for other palettes for glamorous looks.

@@kamrenfields454 I wasn’t trying to offend you. I like the palette. I keep searching for positive reviews and I don’t find them. I looked on Tik Tok, too. I don’t even like that platform. The creators I follow didn’t like the palette. I was searching for tutorials on the palette. People kept blasting the palette and I clicked off so fast. It was upsetting.
